Why was this train on display? | TRA Conference

From the 14th to the 17th of November, in Lisbon, the TRA Conference - Transport Research Arena took place. This conference attracted hundreds of professionals from the transport sector to showcase their work in studying transport solutions. CP - Comboios de Portugal, as a partner of the conference, held an exhibition, between the 14th and 20th of November, with a train entirely recovered in Portugal. I was also present at this conference, as Local User Lead for the TRIPS project. Find out more about TRIPS at trips-project.eu/
CP2620
CP's 2620 class is the continuation of the 2600 class of locomotives. These locomotives were designed by Alstom (then Alsthom), with the “Nez Cassé” design, which characterizes both series. These locomotives are derived from the original SNCF models, BB 7200/7600, CC 6500, BB15000 and BB 22200. They are one of the best known locomotives in Portugal and started the Alfa service back in the 80's. After about 10 years out of service,they are being recovered by CP and put back into passenger service.
// Accessibility
These locomotives do not have passenger seats and are not accessible.
Corail CP
Corail carriages are probably the most iconic carriages on the railroad worldwide. These carriages were originally developed for the SNCF in order to renew its fleet of carriages. The name Corail derives from the fusion of the words "Comfort" and "Rail". In Portugal, these carriages began service in 1985, in CP's Alfa service. Later, they started to offer Intercity services.
// Accessibility
In Portugal, no Corail carriage is accessible to passengers in a wheelchair.
Corail VIP CP
One of the Corail carriages was adapted to serve as a meeting room. This carriage can run with any other train pulled by a locomotive and is equipped with a meeting room, isolated cabins, first class seats and catering equipment.
It is only available for hire.
// Accessibility
In Portugal, no Corail carriage is accessible to passengers in a wheelchair.
CP Schindler
These carriages, built by the former Swiss manufacturer Schindler, began to circulate in Portugal in the 1950s. Recently, they became famous again when they were restored and put back into circulation, after being deactivated for decades.
// Accessibility
These carriages are not accessible.
