Both Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit are power stars in the film industry. The duo enjoy a massive fan following due to their acting stints. However, if you must have noticed, Madhuri and Amitabh have never really crossed paths on the big screen together. But it's not like they never tried to! They started working on multiple projects, but, unfortunately, none of them could see the light of the day. At least four of their films were shelved in the late 80s and early 90s. Here's all about it in this week's edition of Tuesday Trivia.
Sometimes, films are made only to be shelved later. This happened with Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan when they tried working together multiple times. The two superstars were supposed to share screen space as many as four times, but it never materialized.
The first of these projects was titled 'Bandua'. It was slated to be directed by JP Dutta in 1989. For some unknown reasons, the film never progressed beyond the mahurat shot. According to film critic Subhash K Jha, Dutta refrained from commenting about what happened to 'Bandua', but said, "Ask Mr Bachchan about it."
