Main reasons it bombed: 1) Ezra Miller being a POS and criminal in real life 2) No cares about the DCEU. Every film since Aquaman has flopped 3) The upcoming James Gunn reboot 4) A lot of competition especially from Across the Spider-Verse 5) Marketing went hard on Keaton's return. However the last time he played Batman was in 1992. Why would Keaton's return mean anything to the teens/20-somethings who make up the bulk of the movie going audience? 6) The last time Flash was on the big screen was in 2017's Josstice League which also flopped.

This is the strong first reason. 2nd would be dc pumping out mediocre content. 3rd maybe people don't really like the character or find it compelling enough to watch. 4th maybe the trailer not being as good for the on the fence people.

First off the flash isn't interesting. Outside the TV series no one really cares Secondly the movie does not provide coherent plot points, story telling etc that all you are left with is big explosions Third, miller himself Fourth the writing was awful, the directing where ever it wanted to go and no connection to any of the characters

I think its hilarious that the SJWs and blue checkmarks on twitter think that general audiences care about anything that Miller did...Protip: he's only been found guilty of shoplifting...Sorry INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY on anything else..... General audiences could care less about what goes on in the tabloids, on the internetz etc. The only reason people aren't going to see The Flash is the same reason they didn't go see Black Adam and Shazam, because DC is rebooting everything so it doesn't matter. Regardless of the flaws, it was a great time at the theater. Andy Muschietti did a mostly solid job. After this and IT 1 & 2, I'll be looking forward to his next endeavor. So happy to see Keaton as Batman again. Ezra was great, but it's a shame he pretty much caused the movie to bomb.

So then I have a question, as someone who is having a hard time watching it from being a super nerdy flash geek is it with the watch. I personally have missed that old flash feel like from the comics and justice league and the new 52 hasn't been bad at either. I've been skeptical because in some ways with trailers and breakdowns it felt like Ezra put too many other things into the performance. Like that awful run that only makes sense in regular science and if Barry didn't have the protective speed force energy around him constantly. Ik that was a mouthful but I've been on the fence you know.

Actually I liked the movie Solo. It's how I expected a young Han Solo to act.

As now, this film is THE biggest bomb, ever, even more than Green Lantern, Black Adam, Wonder Woman '84, 2015's Fan4stic, BVS, and 2016's all women Ghostbusters. The two Suicide Squad films are way better than this mess.

I really wish the VO person pronounced his "T's", instead of saying "Warner Bros loh (lot?)", "Michael Kea-un", "cer-un" (certain?), etc. This is a pet peeve of mine but once I hear it, I can't take the speaker seriously.

Abnormal people coping on a movie like their life depends on it. This is peak modern humanity.

Ezra Miller was a terrible choice for the flash character( for many reasons) he deserves all of the failure that this film will bring him.😆

Bad CGI. Anytime Michael Keaton was on screen was good. Supergirl was passable. Clooney was not a good choice to include. The biggest problem is Ezra Miller was bad. & you got 2 of him in the movie, 1 more obnoxious. Some good easter eggs (George/Christopher Reeves etc) but I felt this was a very bad movie, where the hero creates the villain & then doesn't actually resolve the issues himself, the villain (in a way) does.

There was no villain and supergirl and Batman were pointless because they died.

The best part of the movie was Michael Keaton as Batman, it would be great more movies with his version of Batman

The problem people have with it is not because of "craziness during production". They have a problem with it because it's crap.

Why does he keep referring to Ezra Miller as they?

Them? They? I knew Ezra had complex mental issues, but I didn't know he had multiple personalities. Why indulging him in his (their?) mental illnessesses?

I actually enjoyed it although there are so many "what could have been" moments.

WB need to make Batman Beyond with Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne with Tim Burton to give closure to the Batman 89 Universe not to end up like he did in the Flash movie 😡

Also, it really sucks that we could've gotten Keaton in the role for the Batgirl movie instead. This was just stupidity on the part of WBD to go all in on this dumpster fire. If they absolutely had to release it, they should've put it on streaming instead and saved themselves the humiliation. The one good thing to come from this is now Miller is toxic at the box office so he'll be stuck doing straight to DVD low budget films for a very very long time assuming those productions have someone with a tranq gun handy to deal with Miller if necessary. Miller has threatened people, assaulted women on at least 2 occasions and groomed a minor using drugs and has never seen a day in court over it. That rightfully offends a lot of people. Just because he's rich and famous he gets away with crimes that would put anyone else away for years.

It's like David S Goyer is the only person they think can write a superhero movie. Sure, maybe you hire him for one or two things. After that you've got diminishing returns because one person only has so many ideas and it won't be long before their work becomes very samey which is exactly what's happened. The guy even worked on the David Hasselhoff STV Nick Fury movie. He's worked on scripts for Blade, Constantine, Batman, Superman, Batman v Superman, The Crow, Ghost Rider and other comic adjacent properties like Jumper and Terminator. Maybe it's time to get some new blood in the mix. Pun kind of intended.

To be fair, his script for The Flash is pretty good. It's the perfect Flash solo movie and probably the best script Goyer has ever written, and that was not even filmed, so crazy.

Only reason i watched it was for Micheal Keaton. Bonus that got see Batfleck and Gal as Wonder Woman one last time.

I had a good time with the movie. flash was occasionally funny, batman was awesome, supergirl surprsingly good. and I still think the evil kryptonians are some of the best action villains. real bad cgi was only on the cameos which was kind of a shame. especially that one of them could have easily played his part

Warner's mishandling of the Batgirl movie and sweeping Ezra's behaviour under the carpet, back fired. Pity because I've heard it's a good movie but I won't be giving Warner my money to see it in the cinema.

I really think people forgot how to just lighten up and have fun at the movies. Every movie has little things that just don't work for everyone, but don't make it a bad movie in total. Nerd movies particularly have to cater to the whiniest fan base ever. The movie was straight up fun front to back.

Once again, even if The Flash's box office was a measly $5, the extremely high quality of the overall film remains in tact. This is the era where trash like John Wick 4 makes cash. Nobody wants Flash or Dial of Destiny, but those of us who've actually watched them know how brilliant they are. Redlettermedia made a good point recently on how Tik Tok trending videos get more attention and traction than movies now. If objectively good films like Flash do poorly, it's not just Ezra and faith lost in DC. It's a sign of the times. Thankfully for the better half of us, Flash was a series finale. Now Gunn can start producing his commercial diarrhea that is devoid of all heart and motion picture magic. Just like their neighbor Marvel Studios.

Glad to see, I’m not the only one that thought this was an awesome movie!

I’ve seen it twice in Cinema now and if they include the alt ending on the 4K blu ray, I’ll be buying that too.

Just went watching The Flash during the weekend and I sincerely liked it. I'm so sorry it bombed... 😞 I'm also one of the few that watched Green Lantern at the theater and I liked it a lot... I'm saying because I believe both movies suffered from the same problem, being that other than Batman and Superman (maybe Wonder Woman?!), DC super heroes are not mainstream enough. Historically both DC comics and movies had always been more serious in tones, with pretty much none of the ironic and more easy going tones of Marvel. This unfortunately pushed out audiences from watching movies that are actually better than their box-office results show.

I enjoyed the movie. It’s a shame it’s gonna bomb
