Getting awards does not mean you’re the best player in the league. Jrue Holiday could have easily won ECF MVP and Tatum could have easily won Finals MVP. Derrick was 2nd Team All Defense…so there are those who think that White is a better defender. Which he is!!

Derrick White was chosen over Banchero, Murray, Brunson, Trae, Young, Damian Lilliard, etc. I don’t agree with Jaylen Brown making it all about him when he had ZERO complaints when the team was originally being selected. Every great team has elite ROLE PLAYERS! JB is not a role player, they didn’t need another ball dominant star. Also, Derrick White is a better rim protector which is what they will need in FIBA.

Bro, if JB gets on this team he's arguably be the best defender on it. With white joining, that's so many guards on the team already.... JB is a similar player to kawhi, he's the perfect replacement, same position, same style of play. I mean who ignores the finals MVP?? With KD injured, this team is already in a vulnerable position. They need a proper forward who can make buckets.
