Why visit the Mitchell Park Domes? Simply because they're a part of the history of Milwaukee that people should come and see. The original Mitchell Park Conservatory, built in 1898 provided Milwaukeeans with indoor gardens until it was replaced in 1955. There are 3 Globe's inside the Park which represent three different types of diverse botanical collections. One is the Tropical Dome where you'll find 1,200 species of tropical plants. Second, is the Dessert Dome complete with cacti, succulents and other resilient plants. And last is the Floral Show Dome which hosts five seasonal exhibits. These displays change regularly, featuring themed arrangements, colorful flower arrangements, and different designs.
