To be fair caps shield is far thinner and probably can't absorb nearly as much energy in one strike.

Not sure about this theory. Shuri said it was unsafe to move Vibranium at high speeds when she was talking to Ross about the underground trains. Uru has been moved at extremely high speeds traveling through space and the bifrost. The Uru weapons have also been shown to be somewhat sentient.

As advanced as Wakanda is, it' not Asgaard. They've been in the smithing game for years. There are things they can do that other races have not yet thought to do, which Foster keenly picks up on in Thor 2, one of the few bright moments. To paraphrase Apocalypse, Asgaardians are as far beyond Wakandans, or were anyway, as Mutants are beyond Humans.

Uru is not the same as vibranium since Uru has magic properties and store magic. Vibranium can only store a certain amount of energy and it hasn't seemed to be a vessel for magic either. Uru is supposed to be unique to Nidavellir in it's dying star.

it would be awesome to see 3 equally powered characters be given armor and sword of vibranium, adamantium, and Uru and for the warriors to fight until exhaustion / draw

Uru is forged in a dying star, vibranium is basically a capacitor. Uru is also inherently magic, not just a battery for magic energy.

Just from the beginning explanation i had the thought of the meteor was uru and as large as was described when it struck the earth it absorbed all that kenetic energy, (definitely enough to cause an explosion large enough most of the earth would know), thus turning it into specifically vibranium.

Idk if they are the same, but I could buy, that there base structure could be the exact same, but they have a difference. Vibranium could be vibranium because it was traveling through space before if hit wakanda, and the lack of oxygen mixed with the freeze of space, an top of the extreme head from burning in the atmosphere could have been why it became vibranium.

Wolverine is made of tougher stuff.

Adamantium is overrated. I highly doubt it. Only thing we've seen from adamantium is Adamantium Nanobots and Heated Adamantium.

No adamantium is the same strength as vibranium, the difference is vibranium absorbs force and repels it. They are the same strength though.

Not only is there 5 types of vibranium. But it's so versatile it expanded a empire within 5 galaxies. So yes adamantium is a bit stronger. But vibranium can counter adamantiums strenght and durability with versatility.

It *is* vibranium. It was confirmed in the Wakandan Files that Wakanda gave Tony vibranium, which he used to make the Iron Spider, Mark 50, and Mark 85.

His sword were sharp and hard hits aswell on the shield. Thor's hammer didnt break it because the surface of the hammer is flat and not sharp.

@@petfauna1445 regardless of force, remember vibranium absorbs and expels force. So his sword would just bounce off the shield if that were the case. For show of force cap held Thanos out stretched hand in place. Vibranium is from a meteor, uru is from a dying star. According to comics.

@@johnnyjohnson724 Nope you got that wrong! Cap's shield is just simply formed into a shield while in the armours this property of absorping shock and expelling is used in Panther armours! And again there is a limit to amount of energy stored that can be stored by the suit! Thanos simply overfeeded the suit with Kinetic energy with one punch! And expelled all the energy from the suit.

I wonder if Black Panther can use his claws to cut Superman?

Probably since it can cut people with his or around his durability level in marvel. However (comic Superman) has a ok-pretty good healing soooo the damage won't last.

Vibranium and Uru could be the equivalent of iron and steel, iron is the base metal and a lot can be done with it, but alloying it with carbon makes it so much better.

I think all came from dead celestial. Uru I thought the same with enchantments.

vibranium claws and uru swords are pointed and sharp, mjolnir is blunt and the vibranium in the shield would absorb the impact, different applications

So where does adamantium fit in?

I don’t think they are based on a single line in infinity war. If uru is as naturally strong as Thor told the guardians it is then simply touching it would be impossible for anyone who is not either protected by odin’s enchantment or a god level character without frying their minds and you may say well groot touched it but groot is a tree with consciousness so it would make sense for the rules not to apply.

I think your right. Black Powder Steel is a very expensive knife and sword metal. But if it is made in Japan, it's called Tamahagane. And just by a name Tamahagane is a "rare" metal and BPS is not.

I was kinda wondering why after infinity war Iron Man didn't use vibranium for his suits. I doubt they wouldn't have been able to make nano tech with the vibranium as it's shown the metal can be programmed. Doesn't make sense he wouldn't be able to use vibranium for his suit by endgame.

If Thor’s hammer didn’t damage the shield then not the same?

I like the idea, but I have to disagree. Shown in the first Avengers movie, when Cap tells Thor to "Put the Hammer Down" Thor then jump slams Mjolnir onto Cap's shield. And it leaves no marks on the shield. If they were of the same metal the hammer should have scratched or even dented the shield, but it did not. This even becomes a plot hole for End Game, as that scene shows that Vibranium is stronger than Uru metal. And in End Game when Thanos hits Mjolnir with his sword it leaves no marks on the hammer when they are supposed to be of the same metal. If that is true the hammer and/or the sword should be slightly damaged. Instead we don't see any dents or dings on either. Metallic plot holes all over the MCU.

And no uru metal doesnt get ‘enchanted’ to gain strength. It is able to be enchanted to give the WIELDER strength. (Like ‘WHO ever wields this may control the powers of Thor) Mjolnir wasnt enchanted to be stronger. It was forged with special things. Like for example a boomeraang returns to the sender. So they forged a boomeraang in the hammer to it would always come back. Then they forged a sniper rifle into it. So it would never miss its target. (Its actually like that in Norse Mythology but not with boomeraangs and snipers)

Nope 2 different metals. I don’t think there the same at all. I think vibranium came the celestial seed when it was sent to earth. And uru is from a neutron star.
