Okay but listen: Other characters would probably have their own flirty lines with the traveller but ONLY venti canonically addresses her like a BEST FRIEND. When others are in the background talking they seem to always know what each other is thinking, they glance at each other and know exactly what's going on. The traveller knows him and is good at reading him (1. Telling Paimon to go get apples during his story quest 2. Knowing where exactly he'd be hiding his invitation in the festival. 3. When venti isn't answering her dodo-call she finds it uncharacteristic and gets worried about him) and Venti is always grateful and treats her with as much respect back, calling her his best friend (or true friend) in his story quest and in the recent event, always trusting her and believing in her. And just like Mondstadt itself he feels exactly like home when he's chatting the traveller. Freedom of expression connects them. EDIT: BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE. The traveller always, ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE REMINDED OF HIM OR MAKING REFERENCES TO HIS BEHAVIOUR. It happened very often in Inazuma (Tanuki event, or the traveller saying "ehe" when being mischievous, and there was one time about souvenirs that I can't remember clearly)

Lumine/Traveller getting excited and thinking "Will venti be there?" WHEN OBVIOUSLY HE WILL!! SHE WAS EXCITED TO SEE HIM AGAIN AND IT SHOWS AAAAAAA. Traveller showcases once more how close they are when he's making some excuses and then she says "that's not all is it?" THEY'RE SO CUTE STOPPPPP. Honestly, you can ship any of the playable male characters (other than Aether) with Lumine and it actually works! However, Venti and Lumine are the cutest out of any Genshin couples so I will always love them dearly :)

I KEEP TELLING MY FRIENDS "Venlumi is canon!" I mean obviously venti shows affection towards the traveler. Also the quest/event where traveler has the "phone" that Alice made and traveler talks on it to venti, venti is like "Miss me already?" Its so sweet!

while I find this ship cute (i find most Genshin ships cute in some way even if they aren't my OTP) my simple counterargument is these things are said to the traveler no matter whether the Traveler is Lumine or Aether it is wiser to say Venti x Traveler is canon when using these examples as it isn't exclusively said if you play Lumine But that last evidence is pretty compelling I do admit XD

I think Venlumi is better than Venti and Aether because there are tidbits throughout the story that tell you a lot about each character (mainly how they sit, and their few voice lines). In the quest "To be reunited", their voice lines are the exact same, but the voice actors did it differently (they probably didn't mean to, but if we take this into account, it adds to their characters). Aether sounds tired while Lumine sounds angry. My hc is: They're twins, but Aether is more of a "protective older brother" and Lumine is the "kind-hearted little sister". Lumine seems more emotional and Aether logical, especially with the loading screen being Lumine sitting casually at night, while Aether more stiffly during day. I think emotion ties into Venti's theme of freedom quite well because strong emotion is said to be a form of freedom, or expressing emotions. Feel free to ship whatever you want, though! In the end, it's what makes you happiest that really matters!

Since Genshin is like ur in an anime, and the traveler is the main character, and u are the traveler. They make all characters have some sort of romantic voicelines so that if u like a certain character ur not sad that the traveler (u) end up with someone else. However, hoyoverse is probably also biased and made some ships stronger/ more noticeable. Like Venti x traveler, Ayaka x traveler, Xiao and traveler and etc….

tbh i think venlumi/aeven is more specifically implied and not just fan service. theres an achievement called "beloved of the anemo archon" if the traveller sits in his statues hands, in both windblumes hes made love poems directed to them, on his birthday the official russian account made a poem about the traveller lighting up his dark world, hes also said theyre the only one he wants within his secret world, the traveller has completely opened up to him and slept on his shoulder, their favourite flower is a plant that adores the wind, in weinlesefest the first person they thought about was him, theyve mentioned venti in multiple unrelated quests, the main ost is named after them (the wind and the star traveller) as is the mond archon quesr (outlander who caught the wind), and its been implied multiple times that venti has been watching over them on their journey (i can give examples, but the best one is that in the aranara quest, an aranara told us there were dandelion seeds around us whispering that were a good person, and a "feminine bard" that sang about apples and things only a god would know gave the lyre we need in sumeru to that old npc)

Yes. I agree Venti loves Lumine. I also believe many other characters love Lumine and she loves them back. Lumine is the quintessential flower child. Lumine loves many people. She cares deeply for Venti, but her two top loves are Xiao and Wanderer. Remember she is not human and as such has had many relationships and as the Sumaru fortune teller says, there will be many more who Lumine will love. So Lumine does love Venti and when she loves she loves truly. There are just other loves that she will be apart of her life. Lumine May return to old loves as well. Remember before he went into Irminsul, Scaramouche says he has met Lumine before? Probably when he was Kubukimono, and was floundering in the wilderness after loosing the little boy, he ran into her when she was with Dainslief. (A love for Lumine that didn’t work out, due to Dainslief being a slime and poisoning her mind.) So yes. Venti and Lumine can be canon, but so many others are canon as well. 😊

The thing is… Lumine shows more interest in Xiao…. But I like both ships, because I suppose Lumine and Venti are only open with each other. this makes no sense because venti gives the same responses if u choose male traveler as well on top of this the love thingy probably meant nothing he probably meant it in a friendly way or and venti is canonically 2000+ and we dont know the travelers age and i think at this point we all know venti is somewhat flirty at times? so all ur points make no sense to me and venti nor the traveler seem like they would engage in a relationship and this is why traveler harem doesnt make sense either traveler came to well travel not engage in harem:[ and especially not with an archon yes venti may have left the role behind but it doesnt make a diff
