Would love to work with IH someday soon. I would like to know about WLB in IH. Say I finish ATL, how long would I be in the mountains when I'm a trek lead. What about the leaves and how often will I be able to get back home.

On your website, you mention the minimum age for ATL to be 22 years old and for TL to be 24 years old. I was wondering if there's a maximum age limit for it as well? I am currently 30 and am planning to apply next year after I complete my BMC from NIMAS. Looking forward to your reply.

35 years is the max age limit to become a trek leader. You can apply for the role. :)

This video is really helpful and very nicely made. I just had one query, on your website there are two posts one is "assistant trek leader" and other is "trek leader". So if I want to be a treak leader do I first begin with ATL or can directly apply for trek leader?

You will have to start with the role of an Asst. Trek Leader, unless you have prior experience in this particular role.

Yes.... Arjun.. Well explained. I was inclined to join Indiahikes. I applied. However my relationship status probably didn't match the criteria. Why is that being unmarried one of the criteria, how does that affect anyone's functioning or working in India hikes.

It matters to a very large extent, because you will be away from your family for months together. We have seen over the past 12 years that those who are married cannot stick to the role of a Trek Leader for more than a few months. It becomes a conflict of interest. We invest over 3-4 months in training every Trek Leader. We naturally expect anybody taking up the role of a Trek Leader to grow with the role for at least 3-4 years, before they grow into other verticals at Indiahikes.

@@sai123praneet its not that simple as you believe it to be. In a marriage your being there is one if the top 3 things and i understand there would be those who are flexible with this, but the same thing over a period of say 2-3 years is tension creating. scenario in it self and put a kid in the mix , then you cant prioritize over the kid , can you.

It would be best if you can practice your english language skills. Trekkers come to us from all over the world, and all of them speak English, not any particular regional language. So it's best if you can improve your English communication skills if you'd like to be a Trek Leader.

Dear Arjun sir, I have applied to the post of Assistant Trek Leader. As I don't have much trek experience but I have a deep willpower to join as trek leader. I am determinant about this from 2021, and I think this will push me to work with INDIAHIKES. Please, reply that having less or no trekking experience won't make me to be allowed to join?
