I started watching you in the begginning of 2021. I got two trademarks registered this year. My second was registered today on 12/26/2023. Thanks again aiden!

Fun fact: Those "Lays" bags read "Chipsy" lol. You'd think that the word is unique enough that it wouldn't cause any issues anywhere in the world, but who knows. Or maybe it's a knock off brand!

That IS a fun fact! Thanks for sharing. How interesting, I just looked it up and apparently Lay's uses different brand names in a lot of countries! Different names but in the same recognizable style and trade dress. :-) It's always fascinating to see how brand names (ie. trademarks!) can differ in different parts of the world. Thank you for watching and for the great comment!

You're welcome! Growing up in one place and living in another, you're constantly playing spot the difference with everything whether you intend to or not. My favorite is Church's Chicken. I've always known it as Texas Chicken, until I moved here and saw the oddly familiar restaurant logo except it said Church's Chicken instead. My guess is that they were smart enough to recognize the language barrier, and feared that people would not understand that Church is merely a last name and not an establishment that wants to push their Christian agenda. They just want to sell some fried chicken lol. Anyway whatever the reason is, it's all very interesting to see and experience!

Thank you so much for your informative videos. I have a quick question, lets suppose company "A" register a tradename "abcd" in 2023 but there was another company, lets say company "B" that operates under the name "abcd LLC" since 2016 but didnt register the trademark name. They both are in the same industry. The company "A" starts selling and branding the name online(starting 2023) but the company "B" has never branded the company name, never created a logo, no website, for the company but has done substaintial amount of business with the government since 2016(branding is not important in government contracting). What wil happen in this case? can company "A" enforce its trademark on the older company "B"? Thanks in advance!
