Hello Everyone,
Why to Eat Fermented Rice ll পঁইতা ভাতৰ সোৱাদ আৰু গুণাগুণ, this video is about an authentic Assamese food called Poita Bhat that involves fermented cooked rice overnight.
The method of preparation is very easy and simple. The leftover rice is soaking in water overnight or for 10 hours. The next day after being fermented, it is eaten generally with some mustard oil, salt, boiled potatoes, and chilies. However, anyone can eat it whichever way they want. They can take fish fry, roasted potato and eggplant mash, boiled eggs, duck fry, potato fry, etc.
The fact is that the poita bhat or panta bhat is the ultimate cooling probiotic packed with various micro-nutrients including Vitamin B-6 and B-12.
This power-packed dish is not only popular in Assam but also in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and in so many other places of South East Asia. In Assam poita bhat is consumed during Bohag Bihu festival in a small portion after whisking it with a hand fan, as a symbol of welcoming the summer season.
Please try this super healthy dish at your home and share your feedback in the comment section below.
