That was me when he started talking about sanding down the "pulp" 🤢 of the tooth. I literally shuddered so hard I pulled my neck muscle, and yes I know that means my neck muscles are weak.

My dentist told me they could fix my tooth by doing this "bonding." It fell off the next day after I ate. Shaving the other down is just foolishness, though.

Can confirm it's painful...One of my wisdom teeth broke while coming in, and I had to shave down one corner of it with a metal file because it was slicing into the the back of my mouth every time I opened my mouth

I'm getting a root canal because my left tooth is way shorter than the picture he showed like 2x or 3x but it's either interning the vain or is past some of the vain can you do a video talking about root canals I want to at least me prepared for what to expect

That "puhhh" was a jumpscare. I thought this was a wholesome video..

My filling came out and my dentist refused to fill it. Instead he shaved it down saying that it would grow back in 3-6 months and everything would be fine. I told him that didn’t make sense and I didn’t want it. Well he did it anyway. I decided to get a new dentist and he filled it but I still have extreme sensitivity to that tooth bc the nerve was exposed

A dentist of mine while working on other teeth did this to a front tooth without even asking me, he shaved off a bit to make it not so chipped looking or something but he literally took some enamel off my tooth without even asking or saying a word to me about it and of course the tooth is SOOOO sensitive to everything now!

He has a few options.. the cheaper one is to get Dental bonding done to the broken tooth to make it the same size as the longer. It's a resin that they put over top of your tooth. He can get two veneers or crowns put on the front teeth to make the teeth aesthetically pleasing. Definitely don't shave your teeth down it will make your teeth so sensitive

Was I the only one who saw his tooth coming out?

My orthodontist filed my teeth down for me and told my dad that my buck teeth would mess up my straight teeth because my dad didn’t want me to do it for cosmetic reasons. But if it’s that wildly different, they can build up the shorter tooth.

I was today years old when i discovered that teeth are considered an organ...

I actually had no choice but to file down a partially broken tooth in the back of my mouth because the way the tooth cracked apart created a *painfully* sharp and stabbing pain on my on my tongue and inside of my gums. The bleeding, swelling, and pain was intensive enough that I just said, “Screw it.” and filed the tooth down myself using an emery board/nail filer. I have no dental insurance and as a fast food worker I most definitely don’t have the funds to pay for a dental procedure. I’ve already succumbed to the fact that dental care is going to forever be out of my price range. No matter how well I practice dental hygiene; it doesn’t matter. Problems inevitably pop up because American dentistry is separate from general health insurance. My teeth have already gone to hell and all I can do is wait until I’m able to afford dentures. I’m in massive debt due to health issues. So many of my problems could have been prevented if I were blessed to live in a state/country that made it so health and dental care is more accessible. I just have a strong feeling I’m going to die soon. I turn 40 in late September. Right now, I’m just making my peace with the inevitable.

The only time I ever filed my tooth was after your first video saying not to, but it was because I came home after a filling and the dentist left a point just sharp enough that it was kinda stabbing my tongue and bugging me. So I gently filed that point but I kept touching my tongue to it to make sure I only did what I felt was absolutely necessary, and it probably was like a millimeter of a millimeter that I filed off, not at all like this guy!

In all honesty, I tried this when I was in high school for literally one second, but I could not handle the feeling and the sound it was horrible!!!

Dentist here, The central incisors should be a tad bit longer than the lateral incisors. If they are the same length it prematurely ages the dentition. I've had patients want me to buzz off the centrals and flatten the incisal edges. No, it will age your smile and I show photos. I'm a pediatric dentist so we're talking teens.

Veneers are the only things that can save this man…

Yeah, I've done this with a glass file, but I was literally just smoothing out a sharp edge that was cutting my tongue. It was an extremely small amount.

I had one front tooth with a noticeable chip, thankfully all it needed was some of the bonding filler stuff, then they filed it down after to smooth it all out. My dentist did a great job with it, now both of my tooth front teeth look even again! It didn’t hurt either, more just pressure and vibration from it being filed down if anything.

I actually did this when I was little, the biggest mistake of my life.

Mom couldnt afford dental care during high school, so I'd file my teeth anytime they started to get sharp enough to cut the inside of my mouth (particularly canines), just enough so they'd stop making cuts inside my lips.
