Playing against shaman, turn 5: Am i dead?

We can say that the meta is a problem, but in a world where there are no combo decks, everyone just plays greedier and greedier (like when Control Priest was meta just removing everything you played because there was no means of killing them) and that's no fun either. While it sucks losing to an invisible timer, it forces you to try and push more tempo/disruption and less value (greed) into your deck. Isn't there room for some Dirty Rats? Some Speaker Stompers? You can bounce them with Shadowstep and hit the combo pieces. To put things into perspective, on turn 4 you summoned 2 1/1s and on turn 6 you did nothing. You have two legendaries in your Hand you can't play because you don't have hand space for all the value you're trying to generate. Your deck is *ultra* slow, and games like these should challenge you to go back to the drawing board to refine your deck. Or just accept anyone who plays cards that actually do damage is probably going to kill your slow, no disruption and no defensive tools Rogue fun deck.

But wasn't control preist a thin because there is a combo to get to? I also find it funny how warriors are so much more annoying with their board clears, but preist is the only one getting hate

I mainly agree with you, I think certain decks like Sif Mage are not too much problematic and can contribute to a healthy meta. It is a problem, though, when decks like nature shaman become meta relevant, which care almost none for the board, and either manage to kill you early enough or lose to aggression. And another issue is, how the combo decks warp the pace of the game, in a sense that you can't play a "fair" tempo swing past turn 4, since most decks are either able to kill you earlier, can clear the board with ease, or don't care because they can kill you fron hand. So, it's a combination of efficient aggro, combo, and removal/clears that push the game away from board based interactions.

That's nothing compared to Nature shaman, you can melt all the mages you want in turn 5/6/7.

when i wanted to get away from ranked, i used to go to Duels. but now it's gone :(

Duels was also good for the weekly quest.

This meta feels both like there's too much removal (looking at you Warrior) and at the same time like if you don't clear your opponent's board he's just going to win next turn

Or you’ll probably die because you took 1 damage so the shaman/mage can kill you from hand. Mage doesn’t even need to damage you to kill you, you could gain armor and they could still kill you from hand

I love how he highlights sif mage when thats not even the worse one. Its between nature shaman and the mech rouge deck with zilliax

I'm 90% sure that Bran control warrior counters every "meta" deck atm

My main gripe with things right now is that most of the new whizbang cards are trash.

This meta currently is, non stop ice blocks, brann warrior, because who ever approved that card was dumb, mill druid, the most unfun deck ever, mech rouge, do I need to say anything else, I used to love playing and now I’m just suck if either being otk’d by stall decks or just milled to death by rouges or druids

TITANS kinda ruined the mage meta for me. Because I knew that until TITANS rotated out the most powerful mage deck would be Sif mage. Not saying ruined as in bad, ruined as in I don't feel satisfied playing mage anymore

Yeah the game has been trash for a while now and without some kind of mass nerf to every class nothing will change. The new team 5 is just so incompetent it blows my mind

Ranked mode is garbage. Casual is where the real fun is.

This is just two decks (Tempo sif mage and nature shaman), most other top meta decks are exactly the opposite of spamming minions on board constantly and going face, doesn't matter if they lose a lot of big minions it feels like they have infinite backup. (Paladins, Hunters, Dks, Warriors especially)

Your hero takes extra trun, put 3 tnt to your opponent's deck or remove 2 enemy minions or 0 mana infinite mage spells spam combo ruins this game.

Bro says that in a meta that was previously dominated by Window Shopper, a dh deck that was centered around controlling the board, and a deck still played despite the nerf of the weapon I really think the meta is very balanced right now, so many decks are playable that any deck can find its counter around the corner

If I could change the meta, I'd remove all control Decks like Bran non Highlander and Wheel Warlock, actually Mage is easily to counter with lots of minion on the board, it hardly play AOE spells.
