Why These Ultra-Rare Bristol Cars Meant More To My Friend Than I Ever Knew! *EMOTIONAL*

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In today's video, James introduces why filming the Bristol 411 and Bristol 404 with Antony was so important. Bristol Cars is a British marque that meant more to Antony than James ever knew... or could have guessed! This is why filming these Bristol cars was not just desirable, it was essential!

    @@richardharrold9736 We plan to film that story for a 'Life in Cars' video that will eventually appear on JayEmm On Cars... In short - my parents are both from overseas... First my mum decided to return to her country of origin when I was 12/13 years old... then when I was 18 my dad returned to his country of origin. I stayed as prospects there weren't great in my chosen field. I worked really hard, put myself through uni doing something I loved - computing - got a job in IT and did reasonable well at it... started a business or two... nearly lost it all a couple of times... pulled it back and survived. But, as they say, the devil is in the details.... and that will be in the video we film in a few months hopefully. Thanks for watching!

    I lived about 500 yards away from the showroom. I was the oich often found with my nose pressed against the window of the showroom, much to the disgust of the people within. What I always loved that they happily sold the old cars alongside the latest model. Still can't afford one though 😋😭

    Love this. I have a connection to Bristol cars as well. Not as personal as Ant's but it's very real to me. My dad grew up in Bristol and during WW2, he was evacuated to Salisbury because Bristol was being bombed because warplanes were being built there. My granddad and grandmother both worked in the aircraft factory making those planes. After the war, the company turned to making cars & the results were the cars in the video. I've always had a hankering for one as well. One day.....

  • @sportzntouring

    @sportzntouring

    Жыл бұрын

    Glad you liked it. Well, there's a lot that happens between filming and releasing... Editing is the major part. This one had some extra editing overheads. There were distracting technical and time related challenges on the day that compromised my in-car dialogue delivery and that needed extra work during the editing process. All in this took a good several long days to edit. So, we had to wait until we felt the release schedule could either take a hit or we had enough completed videos in the release pipeline to give me the space to edit it... I'm glad of the delay as it happens... Since filming this, we've changed the software we both use for editing *and* I've developed a lot as an editor, accelerated by James's guidance... I don't think I could have achieved this result 6 months ago. I'm very very happy with the result now (save for a few things I might do differently if money and time were infinite).
