I own 3 victories all bought new. I have been with them from almost the start. They always took the other path and stayed on the cutting edge. New models evolved for the better. Unfortunately I feel this lead to Victories demise. Polaris corporate mentality, "hey let's totally scrap a great company and product line, that everyone loves, so maybe by starting another, it will do better". All I can say is, LOL !!! : ( Appreciate you showcasing them though.

Indian should bring back the octane for their sports cruiser range. To rival the vrods and fxdr etc. give it a 19” front and a 160-180 rear. Rake it out a little. I think they would be a big hit

Im sure that would look great. Look up project 156. Limo ride was never the point of this bike from what I’ve read and from owning one. It handles like a much lighter bike. I always thought that fat tire would sit well on one too. Idk… having ridden one for awhile now, i think you would lose so much of what the bike is capable of. Still… it would be a mean ride and A to B would still be pretty fast. I might be ready for the chip now. Definitely wasn’t at first. Sweet Jesus!

I did get rid of it for a Stryker. Just felt the bike was a lil too small and I'm 5'9 and the SOB would heat so much. Not cooling issues per say just would output so much heat and it's def something to keep in mind. It is a great bike and quick

Victory had it going on. I loved the Octane and 8 ball. So sad they dropped out but hopefully they can become part of the Indian Heritage. In my eyes, Victory decided the name "Indian" would give them more credit in the bike world. IDK about that. I never wanted a Harley or an old Indian but I did want a burn out Octane! I felt a loss when Victory shut their owners and us riders out only offering Indian.

I agree with Nick. The Harleys are so big and bulky while the response on this bike is beyond amazing for a sport cruiser. Between corners and traffic and near misses, its done everything I’ve ever asked of it except break 140. 😸 The light front end… I’ve felt that. I’ve felt it get wobbly. I realized it was because i was holding on so tight and i the bike was pulling away from underneath me. I now know to lean in much further and use my legs to help hang on. The bike will stay straight and on the ground if you don’t interfere too much. However, if you want a big limo with the thick bars the this ain’t the beast. You’re looking for a bear. This is more like a velociraptor. 😁

As Lemmy from Revzilla said, the engine of the Scout has a dual personality. You can putter through town, or you can get on the highway and rip it. The Octane only has one personality; it doesn't even wake up until about 2,400 rpm. I rode both. Bought the Octane.

Get the Octane ( if you can find one) I test rode a Scout bobber and it was fun and I almost bought it.. until i rode the Octane. I had a huge grin on my face from the moment I first gave the throttle a good rollback. I was ready to do paperwork before my helmet was off lol.
