Yes rielly comes back he played very well and came up big a few times

We are talking Lou here so it may be a 7 year contract

But he was awful defensively

I like Reilly, but no way the Isles get him for less than $2.5 x 4. This is his one and only chance to get a payday, and more than a few teams will give him that, or more. Isles have big plans for Bolduc, and I hope they remain focused on him. Oho is a decent 7th and will come in a lot cheaper.

If he was so coveted, why was he on waivers for a month before the Islanders picked him up for basically the league minimum? Don't get me wrong I like him for the Isles, but I think you are over estimating how much other NHL teams value him.

@@rexbo29 $2.5 mil doesn't define a player as "coveted". After the praise from Maurice and his solid performance with the Isles, I would be shocked if a few of the 10-15 teams in need of defensemen didn't make offers.

@@bobhenry6159 The 2.5 mil isn't that outrageous, though I think a raise to 2 mil is a more realistic price point for a bottom 2 defenseman. But the term you were suggesting of 4 years for a soon to be 31 yo who just had his career high in points at 24 is where you lost me.

bringing him back just enforces the fact that we will not make the playoffs, so many average players on this team...give me a break with this guy
