The little hidden piece is actually not for frothing. It is actually for the descaling process. I found this out after researching this on Nespresso site.

Is it possible to change the volume of coffee it produces? I’d like to fill my 18 oz mug but can’t figure out how to make more than half a mug.

I like how you showed the vertuo lattissima because it looks much better than the next.

Can we use almond or oat milk? Does it do the same as if I would buy a almond latte at starbuck for example?

The manual says you can use almond and oak milk, but they recommend 2% milk.

I thought you could store the milk container in the fridge. How can you do that if you have to clean it after each use? It seems like a pain to have to completely take it apart after each use. That cancels out the convenience of the integrated frother.

I have the machine. You can and I do store the container with the milk in the refrigerator. Very easy to do. Also you can take the milk container and all the parts apart for cleaning. Love this machine…

You can run the “clean” feature for the milk. It’ll rinse out just the spout (without disturbing the milk in the bucket) and then store it as is.

@@luisflores-yb9tm Thanks! I called Nespresso and they said you can store remaining milk up to 1 day, but they advise completely taking apart the milk container and cleaning every day. And then dishwasher once/week. That’s too much work for me so I stuck with the separate milk frother that can be cleaned/wiped out in 10 seconds.

It uses only the Nespresso vertuo pods but I have seen 3rd party reusable vertuo pods you create yourself.

Can you recommend reusable pods compatible with lattissima? I wasn’t able to find.

I own the Vertuo Plus and got a $20 Farberware frother (it was on sale at Wally World) to go with it. I love it that way! I don't like coffee machines that have a milk steamer attached (like this Latissima). It's too bulky and wonky to me...and much more work to keep clean. A separate frother does a much better job with milk and is SO easy to clean! Also, the Vetuo Plus machine is SO much cheaper!

its really not hard work to keep clean u just put the fucking thing in the fridge andf your done clean every 2-3 days in the dishwasher ez pz

Price point similar? My channel speaks more about common repairs for these types of machines.

The Lattissima is the top of line Nespresso vertuo system and 3x a Nespresso pop in price. For fine coffee, sometimes small improvements mean a lot.

Do you really have to take it apart and clean it after every use? This is what Nespresso suggests

Hi, you will have to take apart the milk frother to clean it after every use but it detaches and you can take it to the sink. I usually do a clean wipe with a kitchen towel where the coffee comes out but nothing I see would suggest that the brewing part needs to be cleaned every use.

​​​@@TheFrenchGlowNot necessarily. You can even store the frothing system with milk in the fridge for a couple of days. After the milk is depleted you can rinse it. What you need to do after each use is purging the nozzle with steam by turning the knob to the "Rinse" position.

I Purchased a Vertuo Lattissima for a Christmas gift and the hot milk dispenser did not work. Sat on hold for an hour with them to troubleshoot. As it turned out it was a faulty machine. Buyer beware. Update- they sent me a new machine free of charge and it works perfectly.

This can happen with any product . My top of the line iPhone died w month after purchase and lost all pics , videos of my 60k trip, apple solution , hers a new phone , so sad about your pics. Lately, Samsung isn't any better with no more memory card slot. But their phones haven't died on me , yet . So yeah even the mighty Breville and delonghi can out out faulty machines, oh did you think Nestlé Corp was a coffee machine mfg? Nope they do the pods and machine design.
