So, I'm a weird person who pauses to answer questions if asked. More than likely that kid knew a dude who did tatts on the side. Before becoming an Author, back in the 90's I used to do tattoos for gangbangers, and that was with a needle & thread just poking away. So, it's possible he could be a walking billboard getting them for half or free to bring others in to pay full price. Allright back to the video.

My mother was a nurse, and I helped her study while she was going for her certs. (Incidentally, getting your preteen to help you study for medical certifications leaves them with some very interesting aftereffects.) I am *pathological* about getting bodily fluids off me. Human bodies create a truly horrifying array of incredibly disgusting substances and blood is both the least disgusting and one of the most dangerous, so warm +wet + not mine = GET IT OFF. It makes movies like this baffling, sometimes. People in them act like they've never heard of basic precautions. Rule#1: If any part of them is oozing and should not be, then perhaps you should wait until they've recovered before you get intimate with them. Boinking is not more important than avoiding infection.

good point... and a 2019 movie to boot? not saying anything, but very coincidental that a virus, which had the 2019 date stamped to the end of it's name, started in china and essentially took out.. Based of world of meter's current estimate of 7,952,672,500 (give or take 100 as it may be off in it's reporting) pop now and minus 6,326,583 deaths from a c-19 bug to get 7,946,345,917 (again give or take 100 for Worldofmeters possible errors) that ends up being a percentage of = 0.0795529% decrease Or rounded up.. it removed less than .08% of humanity. BUt hey.. we can't be spitting facts of while that thing was bad, it wasn't as catastrophic as the media wanted us to believe... BUT now we're dealing with the cataclysm of a fucked world economy... with a European war going on to boot.

You should also never forget that and gloves when working in the garden. People always warn pregnant people of the kitty litter, but don't know that you can also get toxoplasmosis from working in the garden or just some rare steak. It is a super-common parasite that your immune system has likely fought off a multitude of times already. During pregnancy we are simply far more vulnerable, because our beloved, growing parasite keeps our immune system low, so it won't attack it.

Off topic, but has anyone else noticed how Horror games have some of the best, most chill and vibable music sometimes? Like, Resident Evil has almost all the Save Room themes plus the Merchant in 4, Silent Hill has some amazingly chill (and Liminal) tracks for a game series that's essentially about being stuck in a VERY personally tailored Purgatory/Hell, Lost in Vivo has tracks like Broken and Into the Mine.

  • @primeEmu16

I know right? I think its all about pacing, usually that chill music is played in safe areas. Pacing i think is very important in horror, if you have tension cranked up to 11 at all times you get burnt out. One reason I like DeadSpace 2 more than 1 is because the pacing is more balanced.

@@primeEmu16 That's probably it, but even games like RE5, 6, and Dead Space 3 have great or good music despite not being "good" Resident Evil or Dead Space games (Six and Five are still pretty good games IMO, just not good Resident Evils). RE5's Results theme is just beautiful, I mean it gives such relief after crawling throw the game on hard alone with a, at times, nearly brain-dead AI teammate for company. Even Resident Evil Gaiden has decent music. But like, I've noticed that even horror games that aren't that good at pacing still have some pretty good music.

I steal your parasites calming our immune system bit all the time. Its sent me down many rabbit holes. Prob a non answerable question but what parasites COULD the body use medically to possibly help with certain immune issues and viruses? Not that Im going off an experimenting but just curious if youve ever thought about it.

Listen to "this podcast will kill you" and their parasite/tapeworm episodes! They talk about the lowered inflammation that certain parasitic worms give people, and how it may prevent Crohn's/IBD/IBS

His "We need parasites" argument is actually nonsense though. The origin of allergies is a lot more complicated than "we dont have enough parasites anymore. Yes they do surpress the immune system, but we have other means to do that. Healthier ones too

I always thought the title of the movie was a clever nod to the misinformation that is generally spread during pandemics, and the fact they were not actively keeping people within the loop and everyone getting bad information making the situation spread to what it became.

I'm surprised everyone seems to be glossing over the fact that he said he disected cats in school... that just horrorfying! Yeah, that's totally not a staging area for a kid with mental issues that might seem interested in harming small animals.

Generally, harming domestic animals like cats and dogs is a bad sign to me since one of the reasons we love them so much is that they are "cute". They resemble babies. If you can't have some sympathy for something that resembles a human baby and would willingly hurt it then I would probably stay away from that person.

Urgh, yeah, we had to dissect cats at my school too. 😔 I guess the rationale was “they’re already killed by animal control so we might as well use them” or “they’re mammals like us so it’s better for learning” but I’m so glad I didn’t own a cat back then. I wouldn’t be able to see the dead animal on the table without imagining my precious kitty & squirming with nausea.
