If you buy a $100,000 Mercedes S class for $40,000, chances are you were going to end up spending $60,000 fixing it up.
No way after taxes you picked this thing up for less then 40k unless it’s got high milage or something
People comenting about expensive maintanance and fuel consumtio… of course any V8 engine will eat a lot of fuel, however, people buying this car are not your typical type who want the best fuel economy. This is not your honda civic or toyota prius people 😂 also, this is one of the most luxurious cars that you can get, so stop crying about maintannace costs because if you can not offord to take care of this car - just dont buy it, it is really that simple!
My neighbor has an 2014 S550 he’d sell me. 42k miles. Asking $32,000. Clean clean clean. Not sure if that’s a great deal or not

I see the market for these 2014-2017 S 550 cars are starting to come back to the normal $38k-50k range depending on mileage. Im considering trading in my 2020 392 Scatpack Charger for one of these. How has the maintainence been since you got this car over a year ago?
No ZF transmission seen here… leave those to the BMW guys! This is an in-house 7G-Tronic transmission
very confused, they were 120k how are they 40k now???

Well done, good buy. I own a limousine company in Australian. 30 years of experience talks with respect to everyone reading this message. Audi A8, Mercedes S class , Bentley flying Spur and rolls Royce ghost or Phantom, SECOND HAND, stay right away from it, they all have faults and are expensive to run. Other than mileage the years can make a lot of components go brittle. Be prepared that just with soft driving and servicing it yourself you cannot avoid costs.the worst is the Audi A8.
