A lot. And that is the reason why GOD has shrunk human life. Because in that world sin would have grown exponentially due to the lenght of life, speaking the same language, having the same culture (Cains) all around the world.

From a Christian perspective this is why. Adam and Eve were designed by God to be immortal. After they ate the forbidden fruit, they became mortal, but they didn't instantly age as fast as humans today. It took multiple generations before the immortality/fountain of youth wore off. Hence why people later in the Bible didn't live as long as the people earlier.

FYI, I sampled this video for one of my own. The 800 and 900 years are part of a deeper 7/3 Biblical code and are not real lives. Each is repeated seven times and links to other numbers. We have to memorize it like the people in antiquity did to know what's is inside of it.

I have to wonder if it's the product of a mistranslation or a difference in temporal counting. Say, where the correct translation would have been to say months and not years. Say, if you were to divide 900 by 12 (900 years according to Bible divided by 12 months and thus 12 lunar cycles per year), you get 75. Then again, that interpretation would mean some men mentioned fathered children at five years old.

Ok so the true scientific explanation is pretty incredible, I’ll explain it right quick. A lot of people don’t know this, but the same thing that’s on a deer antler’s DNA which is one of the fastest regenerating things in nature (if not the fastest, can’t remember) is on our DNA strand when we are born. But for some reason unknown to us, this part of our DNA is made inactive (which isn’t natural whatsoever) and essentially “falls off” of our DNA when we are (it’s either 9 hours old or 9 days old) sorry I can’t remember the exact time, I learned this years ago. This is what was making mankind live for so long way back. Also just Incase you all out there aren’t aware, a year in the Bible’s days was almost the same time frame (it was 360 days instead of 365) Men and women having these seemingly unreal huge lifespans isn’t just documented in the Bible, but all over the globe. Throughout all cultures if you go back far enough. Our DNA was altered so as to shorten our life span. Anyone interested in this type of stuff should also check out the translation of the Sumerian tablets. It essentially tells the story of how our modern society came to be. How mankind as we know it came to be, and why we were created.

It's possible that humans could live much longer at some point in our history, but in case of the Bible, at least for most of the Old Covenant, a Patriarch doesn't represent an individual human being, but rather a single dynasty, while a year stands for a single lifetime of a leader within a dynasty, even if the crucial events between instances when the Bible is counting time, does always apply to specific individuals, and shouldn't be treated symbolically.

Imagine if there was like a 500 year old homeless man he recognize somebody he haven't seen in 200 years and realize it's his old friend. His friend ask how you end up homeless. The man says life got me. I lost everything I'm poor. His friend says I'm sorry to hear that. I'm pretty successful now. That coin Sky coin I put together 440 years ago worked out. The man then says why dose that name sound familiar. The friend says because I talk about it when we where young. sky coin is work 2 million a coin now. Did you ever sell yours. The man says I never had sky coin. The friend then says you don't remember that 500 wroth of sky coin you bought 440 years ago when it was worth half a penny. The man then says wow I can't believe i forgot. If what your saying is true then I'm now a millionaire and can get off these streets. The friend would say more like a billionaire. Those coins you have are worth $200,000,000,000. Yeah living that long could have some advantages.

Transition from meat based hunter gatherer diet to plant based farmer diet about 5000 years ago must have visibly shortened lifespan of peoples. Not from 800 to 80 - that's exaggerated but from 65 to 55 would be noticeable over few generations and would be passed on as stories/legends

if a woman can't have kids it's not really that relevant to the story to mention her after she already had kids but regardless Noahs kids were old as he was 500 and they mentioned their wives so they were definitely not like 20. you can believe what you want but the truth has born fruit and you don't have to be left out, choices have consequences and you don't have to bear the full weight of separation from god until it's too late

This is absolute absurdity. We have NO reason to believe this folklore to be truth, let alone believe in the existence of a god that of which we have no empirical evidence. He even says, "this is the infallible truth that we hold on to." How do you know that it's truth? My friend, just because something cannot be disproven does not mean that it is truth or even more than likely true, it is simply YOUR truth. That which can be asserted without evidence, can also be dismissed without evidence.
