I honestly feel like it’s getting to the point where if it were to go up any more, people would really start to question whether is actually even worth buying something like that for so much money, I think they’ve almost finally hit a ceiling.

The more scarce they become, the higher the price will go and as long as the the game is still relevant, as will the stickers.

Katos are also vehicle for laundering money/ hiding wealth so they will always be traded amongst the turbo rich collectors. I agree that “normal people” have been priced out of Kato’s. I tried to buy some Kato crafts lately and the prices cannot be justified.

Wow, what a shocker that a sticker market with stickers worth upwards of 65-70k died out...

I get it, but weapons with kato 14 stickers is a huge market. They now 2x or even 3x price (in 1 year) while the sticker price doesnt moved at all. So this is why i think its not gonna fall down.

This is a good example of underlying market forces catching up with things (I didn't discuss in details it because it was hard to get good examples). I think now that the stickers have had a flat period and crafts have caught up, they're in a much better position to recover.

Exactly, recently i bought two ibpholo AKs for $700 each and now im reselling for 1.1 and 1.6k respectively (1.1k sold already). Applied weapon Kato market is BOOMING.

not so much as dead but less volume in recent years probs due to wider economic environment in china especially give it a few more years and itll be pretty mythical. market for kato14 holos will go up but just super slow but also stable

I still have a ft awp boom with a kato 2014 navi holo on the back of the handle (3rd position I think). I put it myself in 2015 and still got the skin :) Also got an m4 tiger with titan 2014 and p2000 with ldlc kato 2014. At this point I just keep them because I like them, not for the profit

@@whynot6516 Yeah they go down big time unless it's a perfect combo. The quality of the skin and placements matter a lot.

introduction of a new operation will definetly push the applied stickers up again, because people want to apply on high tier skins

Ive noticed a trend where there always seems to be either a sticker glut or a skins glut. we are definitely in a skins glut atm as this video pointed out, on top of really no new skins worth applying such expensive stickers to. theres definitely a glut of stickers right now compared to new skins. But when the opposite happens, stickers seem to deliver much higher returns considering theyre one time use items

Just waiting till that sweet, sweet CS2 release for my collection to soar higher

Tldr why there is no demand. Kato 14: - Good looking - No background - Good holo effects - Look great on crafts Modern major stickers: - Good looking - No background - The major watermark is smaller - Good holo effects - Look great on crafts - Are less than a fraction of the price of kato 14s - Relevant team stickers, (who tf is titan or ibp again?)

The strongest performing Kato 2014 stickers lately are actually the cheaper 4, which would be the closest to competing with the new major stickers. That's incompatible with major stickers having a significant impact on the market for these. They were always hoarded and crafted with by whales. That kind of demand isn't interchangable with $20 holos.

Yeah but its drip if I see a modern sticker craft while playing csgo my reaction is "oh that skin is nice" and if i see a kato 2014 sticker on a gun which once happened (VP holo) my reaction is "HOLY FUCK IS THAT A KATO 2014 DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN"

​@@Xantium0 First off it's unreasonable to expect a 12000$ item to have the same gains as a 1000$ knife. Second off the dopplers hadn't even gone up more than the capsules. M9 doppler per say rose around 35-40%, the capsules rose 39%.

it just dawned on me that the price increase coincided with the chinese entering the market. and coincidentally, its also mostly chinese crafting with katos (to generate hype?). to me it sounds like obvious market manipulation, and honestly, the stickers already reached absurd heights.

nah man its just that there's so many more chinese than other nations, and it seems like a decent bit of them have alot of money. Also doesn't help that people in the US cant use Buff163 anymore

Lol duh. That’s why I hated the Chinese players so much. When they entered the market. Everything shot up in price and now it’s all so expensive. Which is good for sellers. Bad for buyers.

Talking an over abundance of supply. I just picked up a FN Blue Laminate with 4x Cologne 2015 Titan papers. I know there is no financial gain to ownership because there are probably thousands of it and I paid $60 for a it BUT its a piece of CSGO history which piggbacks off the Kata14 holo AND I bought a MW Red Lam which I did a HellRaiser 2018 holo craft. None of which a flex skins but I really enjoy the Laminate skins on the AK and its their 10 year birthday this year so I thought I'd buy the set. Green and Black lams to follow but I still need to think of a craft for each.

That blue lam is huge overpay no? I also spent 60 dollars on blue laminate, and got one with navi and vp holo dreamhack and Copenhagen wolves cologne holo.

It's just the market didn't change for them. The most expensive stuff has always been aquired by the most dedicated collectors. The biggest change between 2021 and 2023 is a lot of people came back to the game. They want knifes, skins etc for playing. The collector market remained completely unchanged

depends on position of the titan, but 10% sticker price MAXIMUM on top of the skin's price
