Why The Human Body Sucks, and How To Fix It

What if our bodies kept evolving? And are there body parts that will disappear one day?

Our backs hurt, ankles break and feet are busted! Not to mention having a baby is dangerous and our eyes are built backwards. There is a lot that doesn't work in our bodies, so today we are going to explain the perfectly evolved human. Evolutionary biologists have been battling this scenario for years so we explain it all. Including the need for ostrich feet, bipedal bodies, bilateral symmetry, rewiring neurons in the eye and having dog ears! Let us know if you would want this body!?

Me: Owl necks Him: No necks Me: In owls' necks, one of the major arteries feeding the brain passes through bony holes in the birds' vertebrae. ... Small vessel connections between the carotid and vertebral arteries, called anastomoses, let blood flow uninterrupted to the brain, even when owls' necks were contorted into the most extreme twists and turns. In an Exorcist-style display of flexibility, owls can rotate their necks a maximum of 270 degrees without breaking blood vessels or tearing tendons. A Great Horned Owl syncs its ears and eyes to unleash it's silent assault on prey. So im pretty sure owl necks are great.

11:43 Given that there's even some evidence of a pain reaction in plants and definitively in all the animals you mentioned... Basically *pain* is sensed even by single cell organisms, although the exact *way* said pain is experienced may differ. But since we're not able to experience the pain of other beings we can't really prove or disprove their pain *experience*. (There was a time when people thought black people didn't experience pain, now we know better, but this tendency to underestimate anything different is innate in us)

@@redpanda6497 huh? Sweating gives us one of the highest stamina of any animal out there. Most other animals have to stop moving to rest but due to sweat we can regenerate Energy and power while moving. That was a giant part of hunting strategies back then. Other animals were faster than humans and escaped but humans just kept going and going for hours and hours. At some point the other animal had no stamina left and also couldn't defend itself really well since they were attacked on long range with spears being thrown. There is nothing more important for the survival of humans than sweating

So evolution might not be done with us yet😅 Edit: I googled it and its a tiny people group called the VaDoma in Zimbabwe...the scientific condition of having ostrich feet called ectrodactyly.

CASTRATION, tail docking, and other forms of mutilation such as teeth yanking, dehorning, beek filing, etc. are performed on other animals WITHOUT PAIN RELIEF. These are STANDARD practices done to farm animals across the globe. Look up what a gestation crate is on Google, imagine being confined there & not being able to take a step forward, backward, or even turn around. You'd think after all that they can die a peaceful death, but no during transit depending on how far away the slaughterhouse is, many of the animals die from thrist, heat, & the cold. If you watch interviews with ex-slaughterhouse workers they maintain that a lot of animals remain conscious as they're hung upside down choking on their own blood. When you buy animal products, you are funding the atrocities committed unto animals. According to the American Dietetic Association (consisting of 100,000 professionals in health and nutrition) we can thrive on a vegan diet at every stage of life: pregnancy, lactation & infancy. This is backed by the British Dietetic association, the Canadian Dietic Association, the NHS, as well as many other. Furthermore, meat consumption is absolutely devastating for the environment. The United Nation published a 40 page report titled Livestock's Long Shadow detailing every envionmental issue we face as a result of animal agriculture. human feet and ankles are better at turning on the spot. also human knees allow that kind of movement to be stable simply because they don't actually flex sideways. a pouch in humans would make it pretty darn difficult to move around since it's blocking the muscle structure needed to turn the waist. unless you're planning to walk around with your legs spread like tree dwellers or hop everywhere like a kangaroo. lungs that cycle air would stop humans being able to hold their breath for too long. better hope you don't have to go underwater at some point, for example a car crash in a body of water. directional ears may be better for focusing on sound at a certain point but it makes them worse at hearing sounds around you. good luck trying to get your friend's attention when they are turned the other way. having the extra cushion vessels in the ribs certainly helps in a car crash but it would be a breeding ground for viruses that would infect the lungs. be prepared to get flu often and probably die from pneumonia when you get older. - humans are actually pretty well adapted for most things. in fact the entire primate family is a good example of the pinnacle of evolution. people often think it's the human race's intelligence alone that gave them that ability. sorry to disappoint but humans are by far not the smartest creatures on the planet. what they are however is the best combination of advantageous traits available. that's why they're so successful and dominated the planet.
