We have all seen the cars that are kissing the pavement, wheels titled, and tires stretched. But WHY?! Today Dakota breaks it down to get a little bit of insight on why people "stance" their cars.

His car was so low, the fuel tank had to be hung from the trunk's deck because it couldn't sit in the spare tire well because the bottom was gone.. and he claimed he went through subframes + the lower arms every couple of months. I kinda believe him because he swapped them out behind the shop overnight on the asphalt.

    Stanced cars should not be street legal. I have no issues seeing these at car shows but on the road they pose a danger to everyone around them. Between the camber of stance cars and the practice of tire stretching, they are a catastrophe waiting to happen.

  • @bobastu

    @bobastu

    Ай бұрын

    @@timo9934 there are multiple articles that explain how dangerous it is from an engineering standpoint. Also, multiple articles exist explain how dangerous it is from a mechanical point of view. The same way squatted trucks are illegal in North Carolina, yet they can be driven on the road in an acceptable configuration then squatted at shows (the best thing about airbags is you don't have to drive extreme). Police are starting to measure camber angle and its illegal if your tires are past your side mirrors (they get trucks and JEEPs on this all of the time). Some states have minimum ground clearance, such that the chassis has to be at least X inches off the ground. People will try to drive low, get pulled over, bump up the distance, and the cops will soon realize it's adjustable. Take pictures of the car while it's moving and then after it was parked for the ticket. Parked slammed vehicles can get tickets as well in those states with minimum ground clearance, except at car meets and auto shows, due to those being privately sponsored events where those displaying cars have to pay an entry fee. I've looked into this, and try to follow the laws. I am all for modding cars, but stretching tires the placing the weight of the vehicle on the edge of a side wall is utter stupidity if you plan on driving on it. People should try emulating super cars and rally cars, while leaving the hooptie at home.

Completely ruined the truck and towing/hauling capabilities, and off road capabilities even though almost no one uses their 4 wheel drive. I can't count the number of times I had to pull him out of his driveway when it just lightly snowed (NC). Then he gave the truck to his step son who then squatted it. @pureblood9477 ps that's probably one of the most stupid and cliche responses ever. So I thought a lot the past two hours about the premise of your previous several post. Objectively. Devil's advocate. And I came down to two clear problems that white nationalists have to face The first is this. How can two white nationalists truly respect each other unless both were 100pct sure that they were both white nationalists. So how can white couple really be happy together unless the woman was happy submitting her socio-olitical ego to her husband. And likewise for two WS couples and so on. That leads directly to the next question. Assuming this country started off as dominated by WS couples, how can it then blame WS unhappiness on non -whites? Clearly something in the Great White Plan must have gone wrong. What does that say about the efforts of WS to manage the country's affairs? For example the national debt which is the result of our yearly deficit. How could this happen if it did not benefit the white supremacists majority? You have to admit that even citizenship by birth was a mistake to put into the Constitution without some sort of limit that would automatically disable it. And how would that work? ...like this? nypost.com/2024/02/11/news/motorcycle-riding-gunman-in-tupac-shirt-ignites-panic-at-uc-berkeley-after-firing-shots-outside-packed-concert-hall/ Gonna take some balls for you white supremacists to read that article and condemn the reactionary actions described in it. Too late to avoid the waterfall, I think. Lastly you obviously haven't learned the lessons of the Nazis. Who literally tried to kill-off all of the non-Germans in Europe. Who responded by killing-off almost all of the Nazis.

    it's rice (racing inspired cosmetic enhancements) for the most part. i think people should keep in mind that when they're doing this they can make the car less safe to drive overall and when it comes to handling too much camber isn't going to improve anything, it'll make stuff worse. But it's a unique look that a lot of people enjoy + most of the time you don't drive fast in your car anyway. We all probably know that cars spend most of their time parked and when it does get driven it's probably in traffic which is usually not very fast. So if the only downside is bad handling when driving fast but you love the look then go for it

  • @N4SCARfaN

    @N4SCARfaN

    The non-drift reason for stance is personal preference/style. For drifting, it's actually the opposite of less traction-many pro drift cars have 700+ hp and get thrown around like crazy, meaning they need grip. A lot. To keep the front tires in contact with the ground as much as possible, front tires have quite a bit of negative camber, while the rear tires have a tad to keep the tire patch in maximum contact with the ground. If camber was to reduce traction, all the Formula Drift cars with 900+ hp will have no speed at all and spin their tires at 20% throttle.
