It seems like the IRL score is one Kinzhal destroyed and one Patriot missile launcher damaged (the rest of the components are reportedly fine). But yeah, it would be cool to see a LS video with the Patriot, especially that now we have a modern version of the Patriot in DCS thanks to a mod from CurrentHill. There could also be a SEAD mission against the modern Patriot as a challenge. Btw. There’s also an Iron Dome mod from the IDF Mods Project which might come in handy since LongShot often flies in Israeli liveries. Update: Ukraine claimed it downed six more Killjoys

  • @ritabratagoswami7724

@@MaxIsStrange1 It is not damaged it is destroyed. If it were really damaged then US govt would not hv ack that. If you look that PAC-3 launch video you can see that a large explosion on PAC-3 site. Which further confirmed that it was not "damaged " but brutally destroyed by mach 10 projectile. Russ launched only two hypersonic missile. (Ukraine claimed they intercepted 6 mach 10 missile yet in the later video they showed only one destroyed missile nose that doesn't look like Kinzhal either). PAC-3 launched total 32 missiles in response (some reports says 30 missile) against subsonic missile, Shahid drone and two mach 10 projectile. Interception of kinzhal warhead is not that easy. It has thrust vectoring system to follow zig-zag pattern with extreme G-force.

@@ritabratagoswami7724 All elements of a Patriot site are placed miles away from one another just in case something like that happens. To the best of my knowledge, there’s no solid proof whether what hit near that Patriot launcher was an intact missile or maybe, for example, that thing could have been hit by the interceptor earlier but it was not destroyed completely and it still hit near the target, etc. I think that such a version of events is possible because it doesn’t seem reasonable to assume that the Russians intended to hit a single launcher (of 6-8) instead of the radar or the communications vehicle (hitting those things would disable the whole site, and hitting a single launcher can’t). Just in case, in the debris that Ukraine showed, the thing that people claimed is the “wrong” nose cone is most probably an internal part shielding the warhead, and the actual nosecone was shattered by the hit-to-kill PAC-3. I genuinely have no idea where people take the supposedly exact numbers of missiles launched, the interceptors launched, etc. from. Neither side announces such things (understandably) and there’s no way for some civilian to sit exactly in the right spot for weeks to count all the unexpectedly launched missiles, etc. In general, it’s beneficial to read a variety of sources, not only the ones you personally agree with. Pro-Russian sources, for example, often say that Ukraine claimed something but when you try to find the full original quote it turns out that it either doesn’t exist or the “sources” added a few sentences, or even paragraphs.
