Why the Cross? | Andrew Farley

Ойын-сауық

In this first message of our “Two Acts of God” series, we explore what the cross means to us individually and how it shapes our understanding of our identity in Christ. We’ll dive into the liberating truth that through the cross, we are declared holy and blameless, and we have perfect peace with God. Imagine the freedom and joy that comes from knowing that God will never refer to our sins again!
We’ll also learn why the cross means freedom from the Law, and we’ll discuss why the message of being “crucified with Christ” is often neglected today and how embracing this truth can revolutionize our lives.
Prepare to be inspired and encouraged as we probe the depths of God’s love and grace through the power of the cross!

It's crazy... I spent over 35 years of my life trying to crucify myself (or "my ego") "to follow Jesus", even going so far as to "leave the world" to go live in a community where the leaders had carte blanche to blame and oppress us (since we were dirty little worms as you say). To hear: "Yes, you have an enemy, but the enemy is not you", when talking about the message of the Bible and Christ, is one of the most comforting and liberating words I've ever heard. And the evil thoughts aren't mine either ! So I can simply be myself AND be in Christ, at the same time. This puts an end to years of fighting myself, trying to get rid of myself, "for Christ" (that's the enemy's morbid lie). The Lord has been preparing me for this turnaround for a year now, guiding me through various teachings. Thank you Andrew, from the bottom of my heart. 🙏

Calvinists could never preach such a sermon because Calvinists cannot grasp this deeper salvation message. I love this kind of sermon.
