The Belgian Pro League is stacked. I actually have Antwerp (Man United's feeder club) going to the Round of 16 this year. Union SG I have going to the Europa League Round of 16 this yeah, a step back but that league is tougher to win this year. Gent I have going to the Conference League Round of 16 and their rivals Genk losing in the Conference League KO Playoffs. Club Brugge I believe are the favorites to win the Conference League.

Here after Olympiakos won the whole thing!

For us olympiakos fans it really is a major trophy. We have always dreamed of winning a European trophy and we have done it. It is a 3rd tier competition but we played against really good teams. Aston villa are 4th in the premier league. Fenerbache have many big players. Fiorentina are an Italian team and it was their 2nd final in a row. It was a huge win for us

If anyone is wondering, the conference league was created to give smaller clubs a chance in European competition and it has worked with clubs such as Vaduz Lincoln Red imps and Ballkani (I could go on). But yeah there are also some good teams in it so people shouldn't laugh at the competition

Bodø/Glimt was made for this competition. The Norwegian league kinda sucks, we haven't had a team in the UCL since Rosenborg in 2007. Rn we're all praying for Glimt and Molde to go as far as possible, hopefully Glimt can do one better and get to the final this year. Maybe even win it. Yes, it's a small club from a small town in a small league, but god damn can those northern boys play beatiful and passionate football Also, drink carling ❤

I agree. I watch the big games as everyone but sometimes watching teams that I haven't heard of,can be fun to watch. Curently I watch more of my countries league(Guatemala). It ain't the Best as the premier league, but sometimes when someone scored a screamer or when there is an interesting game, my love for the sport continúes. I got tired of watching european competition because it's mainly the same teams, except when a dark horse team is shining. Cheers

I don’t get why people hate on the cofnerence league. I think it is great to give fans from smaller clubs a chance to have their club get some international games and exposure. Also it is a good way to make extra money from smaller clubs.

And Lille have done an interesting transfer window, bringing in the likes of Haraldsson, Tiago Santos and Umtiti. As a Lille fan, I’m looking forward.

yes ur prediction about frankfurt went very well

i like that tournament, it reminds me of the old UEFA-Cup. where you had lots of teams you never heard of or only knew by name, but big names from the top leagues with a long history of international competition. and you don't have the same teams competing every year like in CL

watching teams like dynamo, brugge is always fun, you get to witness new stadiums, teams and new cultures. Thats what football is about!

I love the conference leuge . It gives so many chances and oppurtunity for other teams. Being 6th or 7tg or even 3rd in the leuge will be meaningfull. Conference leuge is still competetive to watch and its the main goal for 80% of all clubs around europe.

I think in terms of group stage the Conference league is one of the most interesting one because of the balanced skill of the teams. There are more Teams on Aston Villa level for example than Manchester City level.

I am from Bodo in Norway. Hope Bodo/Glimt go far in the conference league. They have preformed well 2 years ago where they beat Roma 6-1 home. Last year they also played in the UEL.

My team brann almost knocked alkmaar out in the qualifiers it was the most exiting match of my life 3-3 was the finl score then it ended up with penalties that we evantually lost. Still well fought from my team to almost win against one of the best dutch teams.

Initially I did not like the idea of the Conference League but if I am being honest it has really grown on me. I like it a lot now

Because of the many small Clubs the Conference League is my favorite European competition meanwhile...

Guys, Don't forget about KL Klasvik even though they are in a group with Lille, Slovan Bratislava a Slovakian League club and Olimpjia a club based in Ljubljana, Klasvik are the Underdogs. Sure they might go out in the Group stages, but it was phenomenal for the Faroese Team

From Norway, hope bodo does well.

As a Fenerbahçe fan I'm so happy to see some exposure. Although we ended up not being able to transfer a good CDM (Among our goals were Jorginho, Partey and Guido Rodriguez) the players we do have are an absolute banger and have incredible chemistry. Another good player that should be mentioned is Sebastian Szymanski which was brought in from Dinamo Moscow but was on Loan at Feyenoord where he won the Dutch championship. His Performances are great too. Overall we had a flying start this season, having won every single game both domestically and internationally so far. And the ultimate dream is of course the double with both the UECL and our first Turkish title after a decade.

Definitely more entertaining than seeing the same 16 teams play for the UCL each season

I Hope fiorentina wins this year.

Europa League was for me personaly more fun than repetative UCL with the same teams every year in 1/8 finals...and now that we have Conference league honestly it is more fun than both "top tier" competitions only idiots would laugh on this

As a dutchie I love the conference league because it gives more teams the option to play international, which is a lot of fun for the fans! Also the B level clubs earn some more money here closing the gap on big giants like PSV / AJAX / FEYENOORD who traditionally dominate the eredivisie. And I have seen some of the most fun games come out of there. Feyenoord 2 years ago agains Marceille f.e. was crazy!

Olympiakos clearly,they had a horrible start to the season an now they are fighting for a miracle comeback and a european cup

Fenerbahçe fan here, thank you for your comment on the team. We would love a european trophy and with a squad like this, its not impossible.
