I say keep the people in the bird image. They add a sense of depth
10:45... that is what it is all about! I think keep the people, and that's one of the best dune photos I've ever seen!

I can see why you were excited to share this vlog with us, STUNNING! I also love the calmness in your voice, it truly matched the serene and quietness of where you were. Enjoyed your vlog? Nah, I LOVED it mate! 👌🏻
I think the people add an element of balance in the image with the bird. Looking forward to part 2.
I like it with the people in, it adds balance but it also draws your eye from the bird across the whole scene to the people and I just love it for that
Definitely keep the people. They provide a sense of balance with the bird in the opposite corner. Amazing images throughout!
The one without the people puts the attention on the bird, but the one with them adds the sense of scale and more of a story...what an image!
“Somewhere soft to sit” and a great cup holder wherever you sit!
Love the shot with the bird and I like the people on the people on the far peak for scale. The eye goes right to the bird and then follows an imaginary trail through the dunes to the people. Wish I had seen this before I went to White Sands a couple years ago. Can't wait for part 2. 🙏🏻Your videos are so inspiring man! Great work! Thank you 🙏🏻
Really enjoyed this video and love hearing you tell your story. Thank you for sharing and look forward to watching part 2
Thoroughly enjoyed all the shots, hard to choose a favorite. Looking forward to part 2!!!
Ahhh man this is just incredible, I love these videos. Great work!
Wow! The last image with the bird is the most beautiful dune photo I have ever seen. You are an inspiration! I now want to go and photograph some dunes!
One of your best videos. Truly some lovely work as well. You are so honestly you and that is what is special! Great inspirational work!!!
Hi Michael, fantastic set of images. Love your work. I am planning to head that way soon actually. Very inspiring to see your work and share your adventures on this channel. Godspeed!
Gotta love the pic you shot while seated at 8:58. The almost perfectly straight line across the dune in the center divides the image in 2 equal halves. It makes it look like a composite. Well done Michael!
Such beautiful images. Not only do I love the contrast in light/shadow, but also the contrast in textures From velvety smooth to rough. The subtle colour gradients are superb.
Love your style, Michael, and how you *see* things. Your images are so gorgeous.
Beautiful! Great images!
Oh wow! The picture with dunes, the people in the background, the bird in flight and the sand blowing is INCREDIBLE. I like it much better with the people in the photo. Thanks for the content!
Some really beautiful shots. Great work.
Awesome - i like it with the people, adds to the story & scale
Very fun video, I love the people in the background of the photo.
Fantastic images Michael! The last one in particular was just superb! I definitely prefer the version with the people as it changes the image from an almost abstract scene to one that tells a story.
People in, draws your eyes back after the bird. The patterns at the beginning were fantastic.
Awesome shots, absolutely love them. Great work.
The detailed shots were just epic. And for the last photo I prefer the people in the images give it a feeling of being at a remote place.
Wow, those shots are incredible...
Gorgeous Place and gorgeous Images!
They are spectacular images. Beautiful work.
Just absolutely amazing pictures. I think leaving the people in the picture gives a great scale of the dunes so I would leave them in the picture. Great work and can't wait for part 2.
Art piece, very inspiring mate. Well done.
Awesome one Michael.....its just so peaceful to watch this video...its ethereal the way you and nick shot death valley....
That last one is outstanding! My favorite from this one!
Man, your abstracts are epic!!🤩🤩
I like the one with the people and the bird. Great compositions and pictures, can’t wait to see the part 2.
You have captured serene beauty in a desolate place; beautiful images Michael. You have a fine eye for composition. Definitely like the version with the people and the bird; balances nature with a human element, and gives the image scale. Look forward to Part 2.
Simply sublime imagery.
Keep the people in. That shot is magical! I'm getting crazy fantasy vibes, looks like a book cover!
Can’t even imagine how part 2 can be better than some of these shots...great stuff 👍🏻
Defiantly keep the people in. Thank you, WOW, your photographs are amazing. I love this type of photography and I will be taking my 100-400 out very soon.
Stunning! The last shot is best with people in - it adds scale but they do not detract, in my view. They add a “hey, wait!” moment when seeing this image. Great stuff, thank you.
Love your photography, videos and love of/fascination with the environment!
Very cool shots of the dunes love the shadows in the dunes 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
You are a master of the sand dunes! Loved the photos and look forward to part two.
I like the people in the image. Really enjoyed this video. Beautiful images.
Amazing shots. Just picked up this glass and can't wait to get some new shots.
Stunning!
This is so inspirational, and of course, the last image with the people is better as it creates a sense of scale in the background in addition to the bird in the foreground.
Definitely prefer the people in the shot. I also like that the people are about the same size as the bird. It puts them on an equal footing of sorts. Also, I focused first on the people before being blown away by the bird and shadow. The human figures provide great balance and help make the desert itself the main character of this wonderful image.
I love the image with the shadow of the bird even with the people in. Great shots thanks.
Hey Michael, you have inspired me. I looked back at all my Death Valley images since 2002 and 98% of them were wide-angle shots. I think that's because I didn't want to lug around a heavy telephoto all over Eureka dunes. Your compositions shown here are amazing and have changed my mind. Keep the people in the bird shot.
Definitely with the people in the picture, as you said it adds an element of scale to the dunes as they are far away
Such beautiful images man! I need to make my way out there some time.
Great dune shots, the still with a bird is definitely outstanding. People in the background draw additional attention to the image and balance the overall picture perfectly.
People out for me! It simplifies the picture focussing on the bird and the nice dunes. Well done, I love DV!
Shadows, textures, angles, shapes all making great composition after great composition! Glued to this one Michael, hehe made me chuckle with the soft seated comment. This video will be one I will come back to time and time again. When I got out and shoot, I love to get many images. You had a heap, a galleries worth of outstanding photographs. Bird shadow wow! Thank you for another great series of images and a walk around the desert 🐪
You're so talented! Every photo in this video was a masterpiece. Hope to shoot like you do someday!
I like the people in the picture because of the sense of scale it provides. The bird and its shadow is way cool!
Beautiful pictures!
Beautiful!
Wonderful shots and video. I like to have the people in the scene.
Bravooooo! Leave the people on the composition. it just looks so great like that!
Love the bird shot, including the people! Thanks Michael!
Definitely keep the people in the scene, great sense of scale and story telling, some fantastic shots Michael !
...amazing pic with bird and people !!!
Awesome dude!! Those pictures with the bird are fantastic. The one with the people is stunning! Definitely the people far away in the highest dune with the sand being blown add some kind of mystery and you can guess or imagine a story. That one if my fave. Congrats!
My favourite image is the one with the narrow ridge running through the middle of the frame, it looks like two entirely separate scenes. Having watched quite a few of your videos recently, you've definitely sold me on getting a 100-400mm lens. So much potential for picking out "moments" in an environment. I'm looking forward to seeing part two! Related, I picked up your basic landscape tutorial, toolkit, and workflow courses and I just wanted to say thanks for the truly useful tools and insight. Going out on Friday night, I noticed an immediate improvement in many elements of my shooting and editing. Well worth the very meagre financial expense and I plan to invest in the more comprehensive ones in the near future. You're a great teacher, it's much appreciated.
That..s a great walk through death valley Michael. I find all the photo’s great. But i like the ones whitout people and the bird. These are so ...... well composed. I love the tranquility of them. Thnx.
Wonderful Death Valley photos, and leave the people in the photo.
Amazing photos, the last with the bird and the people is definitely epic! The "tiger back" one is quite impressive too. Very successful trip and part 1 video.
Love this. Thanks for sharing.
Great shots, specially the one with bird and it’s shadow
Wonderful video...one of the best I've seen in quite some time!

Loved the photo with the people in the background and the shadow of the bird. It had something of Escher in it.
Great vid, Michael. Love the shot toward the end with the bird-particularly without the people. DV never disappoints.
Gorgeous images. I prefer the shot with people in it for scale. Beautiful work!
Great video and amazing photos ! I prefer with the people in the photo, it adds a lot of dimension to the photo in my opinion ;)
The bird shot is breathtakingly beautiful. I've stopped the video there and can't stop looking at it. (I like the "people" version better, as they provide not only a visual balance to the bird, but add a whole layer of story and meaning.)
I agree that the people in the background add scale and a sense of adventure! Human and bird both doing their own thing, enjoying the dunes in their own way.
The music when you preview each photo sounds really soothing. Great work as always!!

Keep the people in the photo. They provide a reference point for a sense of scale. Amazing photo!!

like the one with people. it anchors the eyes, also people and the bird positioned diagonally, it draws a invisible line. It fits the mood/atmosphere beautifully with the dust in the air. Excellently captured. Great image.
What an extraordinary image! The addition of the persons in the background helps to tell the story more effectively.
