Yes, I had been traveled to Thailand for several time, especially to Bangkok around city central and Sukhumvit area, only once to Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hua Hin the latest time this year. Phuket, and Hua Hin are good for those who like water activities and hiking there but not for those who non-swimmer/dislike water activities

The things that make Thai people polite, gentle, kind, and like to help are the result of Buddhism and an old culture that has never disappeared. This country is rich. An ancient motto from the Ayutthaya period said that in the water there are fish, in the rice fields there is rice. Anyone who wants to come to my country I only ask that you be a kind-hearted person. Be humble and polite This is enough.

nice video agree on ur opinion, especially accessibility and well developed tourism infrastructure and the most important things goverment willingness and priority for tourism Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines got almost what u mentioned but in accessibility and tourism infrastructure, still behind thai, the thai realize the earliest that tourism industry is very big industry and they got they big chunk 1st :) hopefully after the spain can attract 85 million foreign tourist in 1 year, South East Asia can attract more tourist too :)

Just the intro already saying why Thailand is winning. If one want to go somewhere leaving same western medieval style building and concrete forest for that been living in for ages to visit somewhere safe in Asia. Then Thailand is the top choice and it represented whole Asia as a whole. There is Japan of course but Japan oftening very safe and city life style but they still not as welcoming as Thailand outside of main major City. China would be too much trouble as well and you should know why then Thailand is very much only choice there is. There also pricing of goods despite Japan is improving for tourism but one would find it lacking other activity or hard to get into as foreigner. Of corse some people don't have issue with pricing and would prefer Japan more too but both place are exotic for sure.
You can eat five different meals on a daily basis for a whole two or three years without getting a repeat if you wanted to, ritually = and this is why many touring excursion foodie lovers are making Thailand their baseline in the culinary world. Apart from Thai authentic, Thai modern twist, Thai fusion, Thai classic, Thai palace cuisine-to Thai street markets all the way through Thailand provincials and regionals or that of the local tribals and Thai jungle’s food= you can easily access other humongous global cuisines diversity so conveniently in compared to other countries we knows. Particularly With Thai GRABbs running services ❤we ritually eat Ethiopia-food and the locals Acquire tasty ants 🐜 eggs 🥚 salad for the first time in Thailand. The most ridiculous thing out of all this is the fact that -while the Thai people are eating for the whole world, however- all the Thai ladies are still really dam slim😮= baffled much😅😂
English words that contain the word "ph" for places in Thailand used spelling from ancient Greek, not modern English. So, there are misreadings where "ph" must be pronounced as "p" instead. For example, "Phuket", "Phi Phi Island", "Chao Phraya River". FYI.

We have many of good n interesting things here. Most people are nice and there are several options for foods, travelling. The cost is available from cheap to hi-end. The quality in general, is worthy or acceptable. People can happily choose by themselves. If you know skill how and what to travel here, you will enjoy and happy for sure.

Tourism absolutely yes - but Thailand is not the place to retire anymore. Great to visit or live and work here, but not for retirees. Starting 1 Jan 2024 Thailand now taxes the income of retired Expats (including Pensions), if you live in Thailand 180 days or more in a year, while all the other countries in SEAsia do not. Hopefully Thailand will change their mind, but as it is now, starting on Jan 2025 Expats have been told to pay income taxes on the money they brought to Thailand from 1 Jan 2024 onwards. Thailand also wants to implement worldwide taxation, so even if you dont remit the money to Thailand they want to tax it . No matter how good their Visas are or the country is - for retired Expats Thailand is not the best option (we are leaving).

Thailand has many cities that are good value and inexpensive. Cities that are tourist destinations have a high cost of living. But other cities that are not tourist destinations are cheap and the cost of living is low and suitable for living.
