#SyrilKarn is one of the most relatable characters I’ve seen in #StarWars to date. Not so much in that the actions of what he’s doing are good, but in the fact he is doing them, and the complicated and nuanced reasons as to why. This video will discuss who Syril Karn is, and what makes relating to him so terrifying. #andor

I don't find him relatable to my views and life, but I understand him and his way of thinking and seeing his relationship with his mother explained alot. I don't think he's an incel. He's an awkward dude that holds some sort of power, that's for sure, but he still has the ambition to want to go on and bring some semblance of order that he believes in. I like him and find him pretty hilarious in this series.

A bit late on the Andor wagon, but I'd really argue that Syril is the very model of incel as a character(not in love relationship terms). I actually agree with your analysis of Syril, but I'd also argue that such elements are actually very prevalent in incel people. I am unfortunate enough to regularly meet these incel people and hold prolonged conversation with them for... well.. work. You'd be surprised on how these people - despite often expressing that they are failures themselves - do not truly believe it. If you actually manage to get them to open up they tend to believe that while they are failures, it is due to either some sinister force at work, or societal corruption and incompetence. These people actually beleive that they are entitled for a higher position in the world. They believe they deserve to be in a commanding position lording over others. So sure they may be living in a basement, but they are rarely content about that situation. They also believe that anyone above them in the social hierarchy (be it work, school, even in military organizations) is less competent then themselves and - ironically - show little regard for rules and orders, leaving much to their own interpretation. They seem to consider that they are being "practical" and smart by constantly bending both rules and morals to their needs. They also lack understanding on why rules, morals, and chain of command exist - often deeming them as trivial and dumb. This is pretty much Syril : despite being a nobody in the Imperial society he is constantly demanding recognition and truly believes that he deserves to be in a commanding position. Despite his pretense of valuing law and order, he constantly shifts between ignoring either orders or regulations as he sees fit - he ignores his corpo superior and sticks to rules when he wants it. And then later on he ignores rules when he constantly hounds on the information on Andor in his Bureau, as well as stalking an ISB officer - which is obviously a crime. He does not uphold rules - not really. He just manipulates the interpretation as he sees fit, and think's he's smart for bending them.

I don't beleive in incels. I beleive in disenfranchised men yearning to be a part of something greater. Incel is a buzzword the media is shoving down throats in their attempt to label everyone and everything

He is a master manipulator. And Andor’s sister is his girlfriend back on Marlana 1.

@@ANProductionsOfficialChannel So his relationships wouldn’t have anything to do with his motives then. I think you talked about motives a lot, but I’m not watching it again.
