Try the soundpeats capsule 3 pro. The sound actually changes when u change to different modes and u also can notice the transparency and anc kick in.

No offense, if it sounds muffled, higher the treble more than the bass.

Specifically, cut 100-200 hz and boost 2-4 khz. Spotify has decent enough geq to get this done, and I use it a lot for speakers and stuff

The xm4 and xm5 do NOT sound muffled like most other headphones. You clearly never used them or compared them to other headphones for an extended period of time. At the price point nothing beats the xm4.​@@TheRealTej

I have the TOZO HT2 headphones and in the app you can add more base if you’re going to get a pair of headphones I would recommend getting some with an app so you can add more bass or focus it on voices which is nice for Podcasts

​@@a1henstv The air pod max design is just white with silver connectors. There is nothing special about them (when it comes to design). So I don't think that white round headphones are a copy of the air pod maxes.

@@karolbarlinski4280 It’s very obviously inspired, sony stepped out of their traditional designs and the round oval earphones with the silver bits. Even down to the magnetic cups connecting which is something the Airmaxes populated. If you show them side to side it’s VERY similar.

Sonos ace aren't great either. Just look at the graph. Random dip around 1.6kHz and a horrifying 8kHz peak that makes my hairs stand up lol

Not just that but the xm4 supports LDAC which means it runs at 3 times the resolution of aac which is the highest the iPhone supports. Be sure to try the Sony with an android phone that supports LDAC. The difference will be even greater.

Try the Sennheiser Momentum 4 instead. The ANC isn’t the best but the sound is INSANELY good.

My xm4's have broken themselves. Every time I use noise cancelling for an extended period of time they make a super loud screeching noise when ANC is enabled. I messaged Sony support about the issue but they didn't do anything about it. It is a real shame as I expected better from a pair of $500 headphones.
