I'm 42 and my husband and I own a Courtyard Villa in Spanish Springs here in The Villages! We both still work full time. We appreciate that it's less crowded than Orlando (lived in Orlando for 23 years and still visit regularly) but enjoy how well maintained The Villages is and many other perks of living here :) To each their own, right? There are other places in Lake county that you can live that isn't a retirement community. :) Lady Lake, Fruitland Park. etc. The list goes on.

When I retire I want to live in the village everything that your fingertips in their homes a beautiful the community is beautiful and less of a crowd like Saint Pete Beach or tamper Naples Florida Miami it’s so crowded down there cause I thought the hotspots that everyone goes to

I'm scratching my head that why would a 30-something have any desire to live in The Villages...by choice. Why would you do that to yourself? I mean, talking about feeling out of place. Just can't wrap my mind around it.

They may go for the many employment opportunities there -- and it ain't the older people doing most of them, is it. Or, contractors that see The Villages as a steady stream of work. Most people (anywhere) prefer to live close to their work to avoid the long commutes. Or, maybe they're a real estate agent and want to sell homes there! Who knows.

Why would anyone want to live in The Villages at any age. No need to reply I know you all love being in the middle of no where in Florida, surround by 100k + people ridding your golf cart everywhere and telling everyone who will listen about how big of a macker you were in NY or Jersey.

@@Oilofmercy Well it is little NY and NJ 100k people or more trying to impress each other on how they were all the rage up north. Trust me way better and cheaper places to live in Florida.

@@Oilofmercy We live in the villages and We have met so many nice people from California..They love it here...You are going to hear a lot of negative thing's about the villages IT'S NOT TRUE..These people don't live in the villages

@Forex Trader. I agree with you, however I have become disabled at age 52 after working in nursing for over 26 years. My husband is of retirement age. Does that mean I'm not deserving??? Have you ever worked with the criminally insane like I and my husband have for decades?

The Villages are terrible. A bunch of greedy seniors, acting like jerks. Their monthly, undeserved, Federal welfare checks should be eliminated. Their Medicare premiums should be tripled. These common sense policy changes would benefit all Americans.
