There's plenty of videos breaking down all the vocations. Just search "DD2 Vocations Explained" and you'll find them.

You're not an Arisen until you get your heart taken by the dragon the dragon chooses someone to be an Arisen in the world of Dragon's Dogma each world dragon picks a different person (the player) so other players are in the parallel worlds of each other

SO HYPED FOR DD2!! I played Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen and platinumed the game and it still has high replay value, can't wait for all the crazy cool stuff they'll enable us to do in the sequel!!

I just started playing Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen recently (by a friend's recommendation lol), and oml it's genuinely really fun. Going off the beaten path gives you lots to do, whether it's finding items and craftables you'd otherwise miss, or tough enemies that'll definitely beat you to a pulp, but are worth fighting just for the experience alone. I'm still early game--just fought the first Hydra fight--but the gameplay's super addictive and being able to scale bosses like you can in Monster Hunter or Shadow of the Colossus is fun as Hell. Definitely looking forward to the sequel!!

Excited to see this game entering the Skyrim circles. I’m an avid fan of this series and Skyrim and have confidence that we will enjoy DD2.

Already preordered on Steam, but I still need to finish FFVII Rebirth, and complete my PC playthrough of Horizon: Forbidden West. At least that means there will be plenty of guides out on KZread by the time I start.

Your pawn can also pick advanced vocation such as sorcerer and warrior and only the arisen can use the mystic spearhand, trickster, magic archer these vocation is called hybrid a mix between standard vocation, wayfarer vocation is limited only to arisen. Advance vocation is slightly "better" than the starter vocation, Fighter is good at taking aggro, dodge enemy attacks with I-frames, deflect with shield, the advanced Warrior is superior in knocking down an enemy and can deals a lot more damage Mages is better a supporting your allies, such cure debilitations, healing, increases defense, the advanced vocation, sorcerer focuses a lot more on damaging the enemies, some powerful spell cast longer but its extremely strong There's no limitations in changing your vocation, same goes with your pawn

Pawns are not restricted to the 4 base classes they can also use the advanced classes but not the hybrid classes

Elder Scrolls and Dragons Dogma. Best games of all time.

See ive played dragons dogma 1 first before skyrim so when i played skyrim years later i still say dragons dogma was better. Skyrim is a free experience and hardly punishing on anything multiple save files, quick saves. Choices can be quickly erased. Dragons dogma's one save file and having everything punishing and unforgivable alwayd made me question impulses and i know dd2 will also keep up with this Skyrims followers and other entities are quite dumb and you can easily outsmart every fight no matter your gear. Dragons dogma has similar cleverness about each encounter but you have to really think about it while your pawns will also be trying to outsmart and assist in much superior ways. Understand. I love skyrim. I love dragons dogma. But comparing the two games together. Its not even a contest. Dragons dogma has a lot more to it and the second game is quite literally expanding everything the first game did right. Cant wait to see the content you post for DD2, welshwizard.

Skyrim fans should really try playing games that are actually good, especially without mods lol.

Tbh it's not the price point, it's the content. A lot of $70 games suffer from stupid executives ripping chunks out of the game and selling then as DLC, or just having a lack of things to do. Likewise, there's $20 games that have way more content than you'd expect. Dragons Dogma 1 was incredibly good and it seems like they've just added more stuff to it, making it absolutely worth the $70 price tag. Now im not gonna say I agree with the price increase, but if they kept raising the prices of games consistently with the economy in the past, games would be well over $120 by now

I played the original game and the Dark Arisen expansion, they were both incredible!! I agree on the pricing, but I'm willing to save up cause the sequel looks like it's gonna be lit!! Skyrim kinda killed DD's notoriety in the day cause it came out while Skyrim still had the gaming world in a massive chokehold.

its really sad now deep DD1 combat and exploration was, yet skyrim with simple combat and watered down rpg mechanics got 8 and 9s out of tens all the praise while DD1 deemed a 6/10 kind of game back then smh.

Well Dragons Dogma was bloody awesome especially Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen that has every and all DLC and story ending New Game plus where you can go to Bitter Black Isle and my God it's worth it when you reach level 78 or however high you during the story playthrough. And replaying is all the vocations and being a Mage was awesome harnessing the magical art's and healing is fun but why stop there why not become the Mage's more superior brother the Sorcerer harnessing the sacred sorcery arts and vile poisons, blights and petrification along with far more superior buff's then Mage. And then after getting these two's high tier magical art's become a Mystic Knight and yes this class can use Mage's magic's you leveled up therefore crossing over to this class along with Warrior class and yes the skills you learn from warrior also cross over just like mage the Mystic Knight is a Warrior/Mage build implementing a Tank Shield and one handed weapon along with on the shield slot can use a Mage's staff but why stop at Mystic Knight when you can implement all you learn from mage and Mystic Knight all them skills and to cross over to Magic Archer. All I said from the first I hope is the same on this sequel and I am playing at day one got the deluxe edition so got a fancy weapon and ring at the start which isn't special whatsoever got the same when I played dark arisen the gear and weapons you got at the start had to reach Gran Soren and when you do you already got decent gear but hey if I can wear badass looking gear even if the stats are shit but the gear looks BADASS imma do just that also on the XBOX 360 version and maybe PS3 Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen had Berserk gear in you could get both Guts Armour set called The Swordsman Set and Griffiths called the White Hawk set sadly the XBOX ONE and PS4 you can't due to Capcom didn't held nor had the license at the time of the remaster. And both set's looked badass stats wise Swordsman increased you melee attack tremendously and a small stamina boost while the White Hawk gave you melee and stamina increase balance so both sets are pretty good however the drawback was you'd find superior more better Armour's i.e Bitter Black Isle.

Ah yes... another awesome game that i will need to buy a ps5 to be able to play, how awesome

The skyrim comparison is so so so bad for setting expectations. DD is nothing like Skyrim

ah Dragon's Dogma in where every class is over powerly broken, and when i mean Broken mages are the equivalent of someone Dropping a Tactical Nuke on a horde of Goblins so satisfying. not to mention the pawns are much more alive and aren't as brain dead as skyrims companions no offence.

To anyone new to dragon's dogma, please don't go into the game expecting skyrim. You would be sorely disappointed. The only similarities are both medieval fantasies and both have dragons to kill as the mc's destiny, that's it.

Cuz they'll learn that skyrims a shallow borefest, that's only use is being a base for mods

I mean I'd love to play DD2, but given it runs like complete crap, its not gonna be fun. Lets see if frame generation from DLSS and FSR can help it out. But its unacceptable performance for a 2024 PC title.

Interesting, pity the graphics are a bit bland. I wish these games would provide colourful outfits, they seemed to have gone ham on grungey colours here.

Go back to medieval times and look how “bland” everything looks… DD2 looks great, not bland at all, it’s consistent with its setting, to add a bunch of bright colours would be silly, why? Why do you want to see unrealistic bright flashy cartoony colours?

@@ProjectMoff because when you go back and look at how people dressed they did indeed dress in bright colours, relative to this game anyway. You can see it often in art and read of it in writing of the period, people liked to stand out where they could and not always wear the dirtiest greens and browns when they could avoid it. It's not the late 2000's anymore, some colour in a game is allowable.

Obviously you plan on playing and covering it just hopefully it doesn't take from your Skyrim vids

If you did that in DD,jull just do 1 single swing with your weapon and stand still like a total doofus while the monsters destroy you for forgetting its an Action rpg by the same director of DMC.

@@collapsiblechair9112 Except for the fact that theres only *one* Dragon in Dragon's Dogma,infinite parallel worlds, an endless cycle that repeats itself that has no beggining or end and the protagonist becomes literal GOD or a new dragon to steal a new Arisen heart and the combat is better. Yeah DD dosnt seem like skyrim at all.
