I love that nyjah listens to his fans too even for the second show in an interview he said what he changed and why cause of ppls feedback. Plus I had the same gripe for the 2’s the webbing ripped easily. Now they put the rubber all over the toe again

My pair came in yesterday. Very impressed with the build quality and how light the shoes are. I break in all of my shoes before skateboarding so the stiffness isn’t a worry at the moment. The design is definitely hit or miss for people. I’m a huge fan of the 2’s (I have 4 pairs) so it’s sort of a given for me. Great review man. You pointed out all of the differences.

GREAT VIDEO AS USUAL! I usually skate NB#, but I decided to spend the $$$$$$$$ on the Nyjah 2 when it first came out. They were genuinely amazing for about two days. But once they were broken in they really hurt my feet. It felt like my foot was rolling over the edge of the sole. Like it wasn't big enough for my foot. Something I've never had issues with. So I ended up selling them to my buddy for a fraction of what I paid. They were still new....

Just finished my 1st pair of nyjah 2s. Lasted 5 months skating hard everyday through the summer and fall. Cupsole was great for impact, the ventilation was amazing and it still holds up. I just finally blew them out on my kickflips but theyre still kinda good to skate in. Gonna get these after I destroy my 2nd pair of 2s. My cariumas, es' and etnies only lasted like 3-4 weeks tops for not much less money and vulcs lose their protection after awhile. My only complaint with the 2s is how low they are. My ankles hate my skateboard 🤣

i think they look great much better then the usual skate shoe they also super comfortable and nice to skate in. not as clumpsy as some other skate shoes

I appreciate the look of these shoes more than the Nyjah twos. I think its because of the lower profile, they appear more narrow, and the simplicity of it all.

The reviews I've seen have been mostly positive. Interesting about the grip Nyjah said he usually likes his shoes with little to no grip. The stiff midsole is a good idea, I hate shoes that are floppy out the box

I finally got to skate my pair, things I liked, the bottom of the shoe is grippier than than the 1st two which is nice, and I think it’s fits a lot more comfortable and has more padding than the first two, I don’t particularly like how the flick feels, it grips nice and has a good flick, I just don’t FEEL the flick that we’ll cause of how the rubber feels sliding on the grip, great shoe overall, and i think it skated better than the others, but I’m not sure if I’d skate it again

I think some of the best Nike skate shoes were the janoskis. But holy hell those shoes are only meant for ledge skating and some transition had little to no protection for your feet. But the board feel was incredible.

So I was hoping to get a reply from you or another full sized adult I'm switching to bones bushings for the reason you did once I really lean on the edge the stock bushings just loose all integrity but I'm 230 pounds at 5''8" I was gonna get hard is that the right choice I'm also just getting back on a board after a 20 year break so I think I could use the stability

I personally like them. Different like me. Im a huge blazer fan so im grabbing as many as possible, I want them all.

They look great and durable.

after one week walking they are broken in perfectly. had about 4 sessions on it after a 2 year break. so far the shoe is nice but i really want to see how long it takes to get this shoe down.

Personal preference here... I can't take Nike serious as skate shoes... I hate the idea of all these skater started companies like etnies and fallen being overlooked for nike...

It’s a double edged sword, I prefer skater owned and focused brands like Etnies or Fallen, but your market is only so big if you only cater to skaters, so in the end the company makes less money to put into production and innovation of skate shoes, where as Nike has the money and resources to innovate skate shoes, so skaters have a choice, skate the awesome innovative skate shoes from big corporate brand, or stay core and support skate brands and stick to less innovative shoes, which is a hard choice, Etnies does a decent job of walking that line, with the Marana being a good innovative shoe from a core company, but that shoe also came out 10 years ago, but as much as I love Fallen, they are Falling behind

Did they stretch out after wearing few times ? I bought a pair and they seem very tight on the entry. i wear 10.5 wgich seemed to small but fit perfectly . 11's fit better but wear to long ? any advice ?

The sole looks like you are gonna pick up every pebble on the ground. I believe they removed the shank from the mid foot. David from Bluetile did a review saying they removed it, I don’t know.

I go up half a size with the 2s also and they fit perfect, but the 3s feel different. The 3s extremely tight from midsole to heel, so going up in size helps with that and being able to get the shoe on my foot. But the they're a bit longer and there's a large gap in front of my toes now, which did not occur in the 2s of the same size. Simply put, going up a half size with the 3s don't feel as comfortable on my feet compared to the feeling I got with the 2s.

Honestly wasn't in the market for new shoes since I've got plenty but these have me sold on getting a new pair of white kicks. I have the 2s and these are much more interesting look to me personally.

I hate the hanging lace loop on top. Wish nike stitched it so i can keep it hanging conveniently

Axions are good for that. I bought a pair of the Axion Complex shoes and I can skate them for hours compared to my other shoes. Landing primo doesn't hurt my feet with them either. Globes are also a worthy choice.

I prefer his 2nd shoe, probably the best looking one out of the 3

I don't mind how they look are they less narrow than the 1's? I bought the originals and they were a bit too narrow for myself.

I have an average with foot, I think these are a little narrower than the 2’s, but not as narrow as the 1’s

Had the black the right shoe made a popping sound when walking, back they went np why I buy from Nike if possible gold standard for returning stuff 4 days from when I was in the post office money landed. I have many issues with Nike but the guarantee is fantastic 60 days from purchase date to return for any reason. Obviously doesn't matter time wise if faulty.

In my opinion, the look is the best part,

Man I’ve been looking into getting a new skate shoe, I have the vans skate old school shoe with the pop cushion, And they’re hella uncomfortable after an hour. I’ve gotten such bad heel pain because of them. And mind you i got wide feet so it’s hard finding a comfortable shoe. But I’ve been looking into getting these or if you have any other recs that would be very much appreciated 🙌.

If you still skate... look at New Balance #'s (their skateboarding shoes)... they are naturally a bit wide... on top of that they have "wide" sizes. or at least they used to. 🤷‍♀

@@TheRealWarez they have skate shoes with a wide toe box if your toes getting crushed is the issue. For me it’s the midfoot area where my arch spills out of most shoes and I get really bad pain from that. Unfortunately all the New Balances I have tried have a hard sidewall in the midfoot and are narrow in that area. I even tried the 440v2 in actual wide size and they were more narrow than the eS Accel Slim. I guess I will have to keep skating eS forever since nothing else fits me lol.

In my humble opinion, ETNIES Marana is the best skateboard shoe of all time, I encourage you to do a review. Cheers!

That was one of my favorite shoes, very durable and sturdy

Secret to not burning out your shoe laces as quickly is to use hot glue on the area that takes the most beating.

I personally really like the look of them

I'm not sure the changes from the Nyjah Free 2 make all that much sense honestly. I mean, it wasn't a bad shoe. But had flaws. Now it changed them for new flaws lol. They're only durable compared to Vans lol. The third edition has zero impact protection. Laces will rip waaaaaaay faster. And the rubber might seem pretty durable at first, but it's kinda not really. The same is true for the Nyjah Free 2s. Those didn't last super long for me. The flip flop rubber at the top end is also just kinda ridiculous. I prefer a velcro strap over that lol. The previous Nyjah Free 2 had plenty of grip. Didn't need a different outsole profile IMHO. I didn't love the sizing, but that's just Nike in general for me. (And no, they aren't objectively true to size.). The sock this new shoe has is also worse than the Nyjah Free 2s, so you won't feel as secure in these. As for board feel and such, I'm sure it's fine. But I prefer shoes with some more protection. In general, I'd say board feel is overrated when you can get extremely durable shoes that you can enjoy much longer for pretty much the same cost or less. One thing they did improve is the stiffness of shoe and how it won't bend and tear anymore around the halfway point (near the ollie spot). I kinda wouldn't necessarily recommend this shoe over the Nyjah Free 2.

What are your opinions on bushings I'm a 220 pound 40 year old and my stock bushings are crying for mercy 😂😂

Get harder bushings,around 97a and up. I started skating again at 205 lb and I kept breaking my bushings which were stock 90a. After replacing them with Independent 95a I haven't had any problems and I skate tight trucks.

I heard this, went for medium bones bushings on my thunder trucks. Hardness was fine, but was not expecting the extreme change in turning diameter. Second set of Indy trucks put 93A dime bag hardware in and surprisingly was perfect. Still like my thunder trucks for flat ground, which are probably about 88-90, but for transition I like the Indy’s with the 93a.

That’s what I stick my shoes in the microwave for 35s 2x to break the shoe in quicker and have my shoes molded too my feet. I love my Nyjah 3 I had em a week before they dropped and they were way better the the 2nd Gen

2:12 I mean, wearing shorts makes your legs have more freedom. You also weigh lighter, pants are really heavy. Like what Nyjah wears. That's what practicality is.

Not all skaters pretend to be from Venice Beach after watching dog town too many times. Some people dress in a way to match with these shoes. Personally I like the look of the second ones, they should have kept those going. I remember when skating vans were dorky, because it was the day of the poofy tongue fat skater shoes. So point is, wear whatever shoes you want to wear. Stop trying to fit in with a trend people. The only problem I see is the price.

@@instantchildbirth2746 that makes sense, I do a lot of kickflips and treflips, but when I was skating my Nyjah 2’s I was learning a bunch of other tricks so the shoe wore down more even instead of focused wear on the toe box

The thing I'd change about these is keeping the lace system from the 2's and securing the side lace mount thing down properly, not just at the bottom
