I'm so glad the modern luxe kit got an honourable mention it is genuinely one of my favourite kits I use it on every build!

I also love with kits that your paying for an isolated theme, so you don't need to pay for a full sized pack in which you don't use most of the features anyways.

It's a lot easier to justify dropping $5 for a kit than it is $40 for a whole (usually buggy) pack.

Since I grew up in the nineties, I was required by law to get the Grunge Revival kit and Goth Galore kit. They do make one mistake with the Grunge Revival kit, though. Grunge chicks wore low-riders, man! Not mom-jeans height!

Such a good point! When I open the game, I usually end up building and creating sims for a long time and don't *really* play all that often, so a kit is indeed perfect in this situation :)

i own only one kit because they’re SO expensive for what they are, i think they’re such a good idea, and there’s so many i’d like, but i can’t justify spending that amount of money on 7 new items 😭 especially since some of the styles are so unique, so you can’t even make a build with them (etc, the castle kit, you can make the outside of a castle, but not the inside?)

I've already gotten WAY too many hours of entertainment from the Castle Estate kit alone, just from actually trying to make them somewhat functional (or theoretically functional since) and historically accurate. I would love to see more build kits that would be specifically for larger, elaborate builds, like a Rococo style one would be amazing (of course they wouldn't include a guillotine but that's what mods are for)

I ❤ a lot of the kits! I also must say i have all packs and ive found use for each. Like Batuu for example, basemental drgs mod has a mission you can do there 😮❤❤❤

Kits are okay. They are a great solution for console players wanting more. However, there isnt a kit out there that some CC creator hasnt already created YEARS ago for PC players. 😕 If youre a PC Sim players i would suggest donating what you would have spent on a kit to a CC creator's patreon and access some amazing items. Unfortunately, donating to patreon can be expensive, most creators set their lowest subscription at $5, and go up from there, which is insane to me. It’s cheaper and more accessible to either purchase a kit, or download FREE cc from creators who don’t put all their items behind a paywall.

​@@cattayl960 the idea is to make a donation. There are A LOT of free CC out there. And you don't have to subscribe forever. Subscribe for a month and then end it. I do that for my favorite modders. I can't afford to subscribe for a year but I can manage a month or two especially if their content is the reason I can actually enjoy the Sims.

And a month is still anywhere from 5-20 dollars on patreon for most sims 4 cc creators, even if you “end it” at the end of the month, it’s still more expensive than a $5 sims kit or FREE CC. I personally play the sims 4 base game, so I don’t purchase any kits anyway, and free CC is what makes my game more fun, you can find creators that you enjoy that don’t make you pay! There’s also patreon users with public posts, I don’t have an extra $5-$20 a month to give to someone random, for sims 4 mods, mainly clothing & items for me. It’s just not worth the money donation, even if they’re a fav creator CC of mine bc there are thousands of people who make Cc that’s free, I’m glad you have the means to do that it’s great you support the people you want, but it’s really not an option for everyone. Paying/donating for multiple creators when there’s thousands of other talented creators who don’t put their cc behind a paywall are still more accessible, and affordable, and there’s no arguing that, I support whatever you choose to do and am not trying to be rude in any way. I was just responding to your first comment, kits have amazing items too, expect for kits and game packs there’s no free option, however with CC, there’s thousands upon thousands of free and absolutely amazing Cc options, along with the ones you can pay for, so people can still buy the kits from the sims 4 and access amazing CC FOR FREE, without having to pay for both. Helping an artist you love it awesome! I am just saying there’s so many more amazing free CC items that would allow players on a budget to enjoy Cc and actual EA kits, instead of “donating” for access to mods.

I remember when KITS first came out the com was kinda upset but I love it. I wish we had a laundry one as well to go along with the bust the dust (BTD is the best one)

Kits are great, and I actually think they’re good value in today’s economy. They’re the same price as a 2 ltr bottle of Pepsi and a pack of chocolate fingers, and much easier on the waistline.

I had boycotted kits originally. Now I just don't buy anything for sims 4 in general, but maybe I'd consider the kits.
