Yes, no doubt I have a snowshoe Siamese and he is a talker. He will stand at the end of my bed every night at 1 o’clock and talk till I get up some days it drives me crazy. He is such a lovable ball of fur he will fetch and bring it back to you. I have threatened so many times to get rid of him, but it’s just impossible when he looks at me and paws at my face. I always say I can’t get rid of him.

I grew up with a neighbor who bred Siamese cats in her home. They are smart. Pure bred, they are also aggressive, destructive, and generally unpleasant to have around. Most that you see on YT and in social media are mixed mutts, which seem to lose many of the negative characteristics, the more "mutt-like", the better.

True. But that will be small to no consolation when more and more it takes/will take jobs, spouses (yes, spouses), housing (when put in fake/robot bodies and given fake rights), etc. A certain country already made one a judge. Ironically, our IP isn't protected from it, but "its IP" will be protected from us someday. I wish I was joking. Theoretically, there are ways to fix this dystopia, but it appears that practically no one is willing to. Even the big names warning about it are still funding it and profiting from it.

...And while yes, it can't "be us" at the level of tech that we're aware of - the people (and possibly itself) developing it have no moral boundaries, and if it's possible they will do it at least as convincingly/deceptively as is possible (even if the limit is integration into human brains). Just look at the synths in fallout and many similar works of fiction (and normalization). Observe how people react to it, and how they react to robots and art int in the real world; MANY people refer to it as if it were humans - and even in the forms that look nothing like humans. Just imagine how that will continue and increase the closer it gets to gen 3 synths from fallout. I might sound unhinged to some of you, but unfortunately I'm not and I'm speaking truth. I encourage y'all to observe and research what I've said, because what the average person knows about tech vs what even slightly more in depth research of tech reveals is worlds apart.
