She is partially wrong, it's not the grain that's the problem but the pesticides, herbicides, and particularly the mercury containing fungicides that are the actual problems. Grains are only edible for 30 days. The fungicides/preservatives sprayed on grains causes them to age/ferment & turn rancid/spoil. This is part of the problem, and you still get all this with meat because that's what they're feeding the animals. It's a lot better with meet but still there.

I began learning baking all kinds of things and cooking like I was training to become a chef when I realized the shiteshow of 2020 was not soon to end. My specialty was/is sourdough breads. When the autoimmune issues started, I dug in to research, thinking it was the glyphosate and other pesticides sprayed on our wheat and such. So I start finding grains and flours from private farms certified pesticide free and non GMO. THEN I find out even IF they were clean crops,we cannot break them down into single amino acids, but broken peptides that our bodies detect as foreign. It doesn’t matter if it’s fermented or not. I had to learn the hard way. And now how do I get my family to stop wanting it? It absolutely is more addictive than sugar, which I just learned this week. Great short Dr. Baker 🖖🏽

In the US great agricultural era of the late 1800s, most dairy cattle were fed hay and chopped pumpkins and other squash during the winter, grains were rare and harder to harvest than squash. I made the mistake of eating some breaded chicken Snitzel a few weeks ago. ( when will I learn?I was rushed for dinner so I just bought it from a snitzel place) Only lightly breaded btw. Big mistake. By next morning my arms and legs were covered in psoriasis. BOOM. Never again. Now I have to heal my gut again and break the immune response , inflammatory chain. Back to meat and eggs for me. Ive done it before but this just reinforces the toxicity of wheat for me. Im going to take extra glutamine , glyine and organic butter too, to speed up the process. It will probably take me a month to cure my psoriasis again. Heres a heads up for anyone with psoriasis. Besides a carnivore diet being essential to heal leaky gut and remove all plant toxins, you can speed up the healing of the skin by using Selsun shampoo on it. The kind with selenium in it. I stumbled upon a study that used topical Selsun to completely resolve psoriasis and it worked very quickly , and this was without a dietary intervention. I have used it myself and it works....but much better on carnivore. Lather it on...watch a video or read for half and hour and then have a shower. Be carefull...its yellow and messy. It will not overload you with selenium as it doesnt go farther than the skin. Supplemental selenium seems to speed up gut healing as well. LPS producing bacteria can often block the absorbtion of senium in the gut so its a rate limiting factor in gut healing. Extra glutamine , glycine and bovine colustrum are also known to heal the epithilial layer in the gut and reduce zonulin. I use those as well until my psoriasis is resolved.

I have a stupid question, for the past thousands of years, humans have been consuming grains (specifically wheat, oats, barley, rye, and spelt, the 5 mentioned in the Bible) with no recorded issues. It’s always been made as long ferment sour dough, and also just toasted whole grains for snacking. Most of our modern problems with grains are from the synthetic yeast and preservatives added. So my question is, does a long ferment sourdough bread still cause inflammation? AFAIK it no longer has the gliadin and sugars, they’re all digested/fermented. Have there been any real studies on this ? We can’t summarily dismiss wheat as the primary food for most of the world for thousands of years. The Jewish Talmud even goes so far as to state “bread with salt shall you eat, and measured water shall you drink”.

I was thinking the same thing. People have been eating grains without issue for thousands of years. In some countries grains and bread are still staples in their diet, and they don't have issues. The issue probably isn't grains itself it's gmos, pesticides, and highly processed foods. The food industry in America has corrupted the nutritional profile of the grain and it's become a disease causing food. I wonder, if they studied the effect non-gmo, non processed, and non-pesticide treated grains had on the body would the result still be "all grains are inflammatory and bad for you."

@@Blueclouds161 exactly my point. Finally someone understands this historical impossibility. Add to this hypothetical study, the (vast imho) difference of long ferment sourdough and synthetic yeast. We know definitely that the preservatives used in commercial bread production is toxic to the brain, (propionate’s of all types affect the brain and cause autism symptoms) but what it does to the digestive system and inflammation in general hasn’t been looked at.

@@Blueclouds161 the point is that there were issues... But they were accepted.
