WHY should I use JPA?

Ғылым және технология

What is JPA? And why is it sometimes so hard to get right In my Spring Boot application?
JPA is the most popular standard used when it comes to relational data stores in Javaland. Understanding what it does, why it became such a hit, and what some its limitations are may be the ticket toward better leveraging it in your next (or present) Spring Boot application.

The audio is a little messed up, but the explanation is great. Thanks!

Great content, but please for the love of god fix your potato audio quality.

Thanks for giving me the feedback. I have been making tweaks to my setup, and the audio quality is something I am REALLY out to solve. I think I may have accidentally captured my laptop's mic instead of the one in front of my face. Applying a compressor to MacBook Pro audio will make it sound bad that, so I'm checking all my recording settings right now. I want this to be THE BEST experience you can get!

Was the video title a typo? "What is JPA?" seems like it should be in there.

In KZread, you have to play this game of not simply putting the same thing in the title and the thumbnail. I’m trying to show this is not purely a textbook definition but something a little deeper. Thanks for noticing. This implies I’ve missed the mark and need to tune things. Let me know about this update.

@@ProCoderIO Ah, I didn't realize. Yes, I think that new title is enticing and true to the subject. As an aside, this week I received an email update from Amazon that pre-orders for your 3.0 book ship February 9th. Looking forward to its arrival!

When working with existing, or legacy, system most of the time JPA just not the appropriate solution.

It’s really on a case by case basis and what suits your team best. Also, JPA now has many approaches you can adopt.

I like your content, the overall topics and points of view of your videos are great. However, those camera angles are so unnecessary. We know, you have cameras. We get it. But showing yourself from different angles adds nothing to the topic of the video nor improve its content. And besides, the video quality is bad and audio quality is even worse.

Others have said the same. It’s why I moved away from that later on.

This is a click bait video because the title is aimed at people who don't like Spring/hibernate frameworks or those who have opinions against it. Am giving it a thumbs down, not because I'm against it but because of the click bait title that targets haters of the framework.

I like JPA. But JPA also has certain issues. Probably anyone that has used it has run into issues. So yes I want to draw in viewers interested to hear what JPA is. But to share immediately that there is no holding back and communicating some of its challenges. To me, that’s the only fair way to examine JPA.
