There really has not been a bad Shantae game. Favorite is Pirates Curse.

I don’t think there is a bad shantae game. My favorite is half genie hero. Playing as rotty,sky and bolo, risky, and the other modes except beach mode. I hate that sun meter.

Shantae games are great, Seven Sirens was nice though I felt that the sirens didn't have much reason other than just being evil.

I haven't played it again since they added Definitive Mode, but my main issue with Seven Sirens was that the entire underground map felt pretty samey. There were different areas sure, but they mostly looked and played the same way. That's why I prefer locations from Pirates Curse and Half-Genie Hero.

​@@leonpgutIn my case is the Second Run format. I like to finish the Trophies and try the character's powers again but I was reading and watched Seven Sirens was only a new costume and the rest bye so that by default didn't resonate compared to Pirate Curse and Half Genie
