@@KDR816 The points you made about Tesla before doesn't make sense. Reducing the hood/nose would alter the look of the vehicle, the safety characteristics and aerodynamics. Tesla Model 3/Y don't even have long hoods to begin with. I don't know why it's so hard to imagine that people might need extra storage in a pinch. I've completely filled my car multiple times and extra space would have been nice. Such as when picking up multiple people from the airport, helping people move, or going camping. It would also be nice to store bulky things for emergencies that you don't want getting abused in the trunk like emergency blankets /coats or something. Also good for extra material storage if you work from your car. And for people who say this is a luxury car, rich people don't need the space: well I've seen people use newer luxury cars for doing Uber/Lyft and certainly it would be easy to fill up if you get multiple people from the airport. I would also add that not having to worry about fitting all of your things is a luxury in and of itself.

@@KDR816 my original point is that it's a cop out by manufacturers. I suspect the real reason manufacturers don't do it is because they don't want to incur the extra cost of engineering it that way, not because people don't use frunks. To them it's just easier to throw all of the components under the hood and not try to optimize for space. It's not a deal killer to me just seems like a disingenuous claim by makers. Even if you want a just want a smaller nose on your car, the manufacturers will have to try to compact the system, and some manufacturers don't even try to.

It's luxury but I feel they're running out of ways to make luxury cars more luxurious than high trim mainstream cars and they're full of flash. German cars used to not be like that. Even at the highest price point they were still understated. BMW's crystal this and that, all the metal and brightwork in the interior and so many screens is a bit much. I prefer the i7's interior. I prefer Audi and Porsche's interiors. And for real understated European luxury, the upcoming Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3 interiors. I do think this is probably an extremely refined car, it's just a bit flashy. It's not as bad as Mercedes with the disco lights, however. New Mercedes interiors are way too flashy IMO. No doubt it is luxury and I'm glad to hear Sandy's enthusiastic assessment of the car.

BMW should not only make a frunk for this massive sedan, there should be a refrigerator option. I could see those with the funds for thus being excited at having a midest frig under the hood. Maybe to keep their wine and cheese.😊 The Germans seem to be doing good with high dollar EVs, except for Audi maybe. The Chinese have up market EVs coming to market or already out and Tesla seems to ve improving their interiors, so the Germans better keep pushing their EV luxury tech. In five years, we will likely know which companies are going to be fine making the seitch from ICE to EV and which ones will go under or get eaten up by the Chinese.
