I thinks that's the real key of this Diamond. Each playera in the midfield can play at least 3 roles between the tradicional 5,6,8 amd 10 and they are changin everytime. The main problem of the system is neither Camavinga or Tchouameni can play Toni Kroos role against very defensiv teams, they need to be a less dynamic in that situation and act more like a permanent anchor

@@mariosuarez9825 most likely that will be Arda's role. Tchoa, Fede, Cama and Bellingham starts. After they tired their opponent with their tenacity, Arda will swap in and play the classic 10 role along with Jude in more of Mezzala or SS role

But it won't work properly... In a diamond formation you need goal poacher infront or else your team will struggle to find goal. Unless you've a a player who is that skilled in finding goals or setting up chances for other forwards... Bellingham as shadow striker won't be effective for real madrid against challenging opponents... If you'd seen their match vs athletico it really shows how they struggke upfront. Only way they could get a shot on target was from edge or outside of the box... Kroos and valverde were doing the job of getting a goal. See Zidane used this formation back 2016 /17 seaosn back they had Cr7 and benzema who were great strikers with goal poaching sense. You need a good striker or else this formation is actually useless 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

This is Ancelottis natural system he used it in his classic Ac Milan team which had maldini , nesta etc

I think this system is still very unstable. It took individual brilliance to beat a disprited Barca and too many times this season Madrid have drawn easy games whiles not looking great. They were too easily shut down against Athletico. Apart from that unlike the 4-3-3 of the Threepeat era the goalscoring is not evenly distributed. The wingers and much of the midfield are more of creators than scorers. I still feel this is more of a stop gap than a workable formation.

Keep making videos like these explaining tactics of teams with your style and i promise you you will get 100K subs in no time. This is the first time i enjoy someone's explanation of a team's tactic

Bellingham is more of a Trequartista than a Shadow Striker, given that he can move positionless and usually don't arrive late but instead initiate the vertical movements to break the opposition lines.

We also used a diamond shape with Zidane in UCL finals with Isco

ok i see, unlike club teams, international teams have limited time together, which makes it harder to implement complex tactics. Try to simplify your approach to suit the players existing skills and understanding. Be ready to adapt quickly based on the performance and the competition you are facing. Sometimes a slight tweak in the formation or strategy can make a big difference. for international game, mostly a simple tactic which suits every players role perfectly works well than with club tactics. hope it helps and best of luck with your international management!

I watched the whole game real Madrid 4 / 0 osasuna and its more like a 433 Last season joselu up front vini LW and carvajal RW. I think they will play more like a 433 false 9 with jude this season

That means Real Madrid are now a possession based team unlike the last 2 seasons. However they are versatile which is a good thing. They can change their style to either counter attack, defensive or high press or counter press. No other team are as versatile as Real Madrid at the moment. Manchester United are now possesion based team but they are sort of versatile. Real Madrid are on fire at the moment. Unlike last season which were deteriorating and despite their slow start of their season, Real Madrid are alot more well coodinated and well cohesive. I reckon Real Madrid will win Spanish Super Coppa, the La Liga and maybe the Champions League because of Man City. Real Madrid can beat everyone in the Champoins League except for Man City but then you never know. In the end being versatile pays off in the end. Wait until after after Christmas break. A different side of Real Madrid will come out. A more beastie side of Real Madrid will come out and there may be one of the league matches will get postpone around Jan or Feb (snowstorm times) which it will be a good thing because it will allow more time for the players to rest and it will allow more time for the coach come up with really good strategies. It has happened before few times and it paid off.

I think there are lot of nuances the maker of this video has missed. Bellingham has been given to act as a 9 and a 10 as a when situation is conducive, which is true. However, this formation particularly suffers a lot when the wingers or wing back tries to put a ball in the box. This is because a traditional no 9 is not there in the box, and Bellingham can't always operate as a 9. This is why we won the last match against Sociedad, as Bellingham impacted more as a traditional no 10 or midfielder, but Joselu was present in the box at crucial times to head the ball in finally. I would say this formation is a makeshift strategy in the absence of a no 9. Once we have that, we will switch back to 4-3-3 maybe with a 10 instead of two Cm and a DM
