That would be pretty awesome. For years my favorite was Nightcrawler because I loved Alan Cumming’s portrayal in X2 but Evan Peters was an amazing Quicksilver. I hated that he was barely in Dark Phoenix and they didn’t really expand upon his character. So disappointing

@Irfan Alddin first of all the guy wasn't even an x-man. Second there are PLENTY who are much more powerful than him. I don't know about x-men, but he is a pretty 'weak' character compared to others. For example the son of Charles F. Xavier or Professor X, he is one of the most powerful Marvel characters, with the power to basically bend the whole universe... Now compare him Legion to Apocalypse, who doesn't deserve his name.

I remember someone said Quicksilver doesn't move fast, he just makes time outside of his bubble around him flow slower, so he selectively decides the flow of time; and that just makes more sense to me. Especially when he was playing pong in days of future past and the game itself was also going at super speed, as if he changed the flow of time around him but kept the game in his time. It also looks like in the movie they switch between his perspective walking at a regular speed, and what looks like him walking at super speed, not running. As if time is just flowing selectively for him. That honestly just makes more sense to me.

To be honest, quicksilver probably has something more akin to a warp bubble that covers his body when he wants to go fast. His relative time, and the relative time for things directly touching his body would be much more normal than otherwise possible. This gets around many of the unintended side affects without requiring numerous extra powers. he doesn't implode when hitting water droplets because they go from experiencing time at a regular rate, to experiencing time at his accelerated rate. This would also explain why his hands don't simply crumple the guards guns when he moves them aside, or pulverize the back of people's heads when he gives them a nudge. The best part? to him and anyone witnessing him, it just appears to be super speed.

So the speed is relative to the time he has slowed down so people are not experiencing the speeds you think, and the amount of force needed to propel himself isn't as high as a result. Quicksilver's superpower isn't superspeed; it's Gravity. Quicksilver is Magneto's son. Magneto controls Magnetism, meaning the Electrical Field (energy) of elementary particles. More precisely, Magneto's powers are limited to Ferromagnetism, meaning he can only affect ferrous substances like Iron, Nickel, Cobalt and a few other elements. He can use the particles of those elements to generate Magnetic Fields. If we consider that Quicksilver is the child of a mutant and someone without the "mutant gene", it's reasonable to presume that the active mutant gene within him should grant him similar abilities. Given the display of his powers, I theorize that Quicksilver controls Gravity: the Energy of ALL particles! His powers manifest by him curving Space around himself, stretching the flow of Time... making it appear as though he's going very fast, but, in reality, it's everything around him that slows down. He's also not "touching" anything around him, but directing the Energy/Force of solid objects. The smaller the object, the more difficult the redirection becomes, which is why he gets the "flappidy" effect of bumping into air particles.

@@sakura368 Answer: Relativity! From Quicksilver's point of view, everything is slowing down... From everything else's point of view, Peter is moving really fast. And both point of views are correct! Those points of views (Quicksilver VS everything else) are determined by an "Event Horizon", a barrier between Peter and the Universe, that affects Time and Gravity, in the same manner a Black Hole and its Event Horizon do. Also, Quicksilver's Event Horizon could dilate and contract, allowing him to gently tap someone in the face, at Mach 100,000, without pulverizing them into atoms, or throw people out of windows faster than an explosion, but have them slow down enough and gently enough that they don't die.

interesting theory, i don think it would cover his ability to defy gravity though like when he runs on walls. that seems like more of a momentum thing rather than slowing time down.

Even that you notice that he never really tries to go as fast as he can, he is always toying with his opponent, the school blowing up, he not only takes the time to fix a guys hair, but he does it all with the most chill face. Even when he was one on one with Apocalypse this dude just smirked at a god, think if he actually tried to kill Apocalypse without toying with him.

Legit just realized in quicksilvers two speed scenes where he’s in street clothes (the mansion explosion and the pentagon kitchen), the two shirts he’s wearing are not only band shirts, but they kinda have to do with his powers. The pentagon kitchen shirt is “Pink Floyd’s Dark side of the moon” which shows light refracting into a rainbow through a prism, something that we can’t see under normal circumstances due to how fast it’s happening. His mansion explosion shirt is a bit simpler. “Rush” Maybe I’m just reading too much into this. Idk

Quicksikver should be also be capable of flying, just modulating inertia of air surrounding him. Bjorn B that isn’t accurate, it’s just to get you thinking along his line of inaccuracies to follow. His skin has to be strong but it wouldn’t have to be stronger than bullets, this would just be floating at that speed. They would be in the way rather than painful?

@@glp.1337 For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This means if you exert force on something, a fly for instance, that fly is exerting that same amount of force upon you. The reason why the impact becomes so bad at high speeds is because the force exerted is equal to the mass of the fly multiplied by how much you are accelerating it (represented by the equation f=ma). For example, you are traveling at a velocity of 1,000 meters per second in a given direction. When you hit a fly, you are accelerating that fly to your current velocity almost instantly. That means the force you exert on that fly is equal to the mass of the fly multiplied by however long it takes for the fly to reach your current velocity (which as I said is nearly instantly other than how long it takes for the flys body to crush). At extreme speeds this force you are applying to the fly becomes outrageous. And as we know, the force you put on the fly is also being applied equally to your body. Eventually the force becomes so great that the fly may just act like a sort of bullet and just go straight through you. That is all given the fact that as stated in the video, you may not make it to the fly without other powers because the force of just pushing off the ground might cripple you first. Hypothesis: Quicksilver is surrounded by an energy field that allows things connecting with his body to effect him like it would at normal speeds. So the water drops only have the impact of water drops, he's able to hear music at a normal speed, his clothes don't disintegrate, and things aren't torn apart when he moves them. All these powers(superspeed, superdurability, superstrength, gravitational control, and inertial control, and the change in speed when things are connected to him) activate simultaneously. When he's running he can do all of these things.

I would have to disagree because of the fact that he would have killed everyone he knows from an early age if he didnt have supplemental powers or merely a "warp bubble" as some have called it. I could for sure see him having the power to generate a field of slow time in his own body and the things he touches causing others to precieve his movements as ultra fast. And this means he would become better at decreasing the speed of his field of energy as he got older. It would mean that he gets progressively faster to standard physics perception as he grew into his powers.

I like flash but I can agree that this Quicksilver is badass and very powelful. Flash does have a similar ability to stop time and speedrunning (flash time in the CW series) but uses it only one episode and the following are about how he is not fast enough to stop the bad guy. At least, X-men's Quicksilver (the Marvel one is a joke) is always faster than everything

There's a much simpler explanation: while objects are in his immediate vicinity they also experience time much more slowly. This would mean he could knock tiny objects aside without injury because they're temporarily on slow-time too.

If you think about it, if he can use gravity to slow down time, and use his speed at the same time, that means he could run with an infinite amount of speed

This is what im talking about. Maximoff twins on xmen franchise is much stronger than on marv cinemaric universe.

GWsharky but still having light particles go to your eyes because if you froze time, you technically wouldn’t be able to see because no light particles are going to your eyes. Those are things that help you see. Which is why we can’t see in the dark.

Who's here after realizing that Quicksilver in Wandavision isn't the one from the X-Men universe?

I wonder how many of the 2.1k people who disliked this video came back and saw that they disliked it just because it wasn't in the MCU or thought this was just MCU hate. And if you're one of the 2.1 k people...yikes. All jokes aside, the MCU is going as weird and fun as they needed to be after Endgame and the decision (and the method they're using) to bring in Evan Peters's Quicksilver, who provided some of the greatest standalone scenes in superhero movie history, was a perfect first step to what'll surely be an INSANE Phase 4.

The basic assumption the narrator makes is that Quicksilver acts within the normal realm of physics. Given how many people he rescues from the mansion in "Apocalypse", without any of their bodies being shattered, I think a better assumption is that his powers allow him to distort the flow of time around himself.

Dudes able to slow down time and able to touch someone and when he slows down , that touch becomes a punch

The most broken super power is surely, Super Sanity. Nothings more broken than been fully aware you're in a comic book, Especially if you're able to threaten your writers.

So his true power is inertia control and hyper perception. He can accelerate without having to apply force, he can move objects without damaging them, he can redirect objects without super strength or durability, (includes collisions and air resistance), otherwise his clothing would disintegrate and his goggles would do nothing to protect his eyes.

Quicksilver has Control over Molecular Relativity

Quicksilver has the ability to vibrate molecules.

Thermal conductivity is another hiccup here... The relationship between heat and motion is a little convoluted, but theoretically speaking the ability to manipulate his own body independently from the area around him by itself would actually explain his presumed heat resistance. Simply put - if he can alter motion at his leisure, he can instantly heat or cool just about ANYTHING at an atomic level... Even if he doesn't do so consciously.

I swear I get smarter watching theories and not from school. Edit: sorry to upset most people, but it was a joke. I was being sarcastic.

Technically...wouldn't he also have super intelligence? I can get a hundred percent on any calculus exam if I can manipulate the perception of time...assuming I don't cheat and studied. It would be easy to double, triple, quadruple check my work to make sure all the answers are right and all the work is shown in less than a minute. Also, just the ability to slow down time to study in the first place! He can be just as smart as Henry Mckoy because he'd have a significant time advantage to come up with any number of solutions to a problem. Hell, even if he was not knowledgeable in a subject, he could reasearch , study, and become competently knowledgeable in any field in less time than anyone else. Also, I think we all love him because of the soundtracks played when Quicksilver does his speed thing while saving everyone's ass.

I think it’s some sort of time control along with mild super speed, if he can create this sort of sphere and manipulate time there, it would explain why he doesn’t destroy everything accidentally, and the mild super speed allows him to do the other powers that require momentum and speed, not just everything is moving slow

If you see the mansion explosion scene from X-Men apocalypse you can see him take a drink for a caffeine and some frames after a pizza is onscreen it no longer is , implying that he ate it The speed does get to his calories

Durability alone requires your "every" system to buff up. Imagine the blood pressure in your vains trying to push through muscles and tissue so hard, that a shrapnel would feel it as if it was rock or hard metal. So everything, your ear liquids, your lungs, your bone marrow, vains, heart, cartilages, nostrils, traquia, etc. Look, EVERYTHING would have to acomodate just right according to the level of durability your body possesses and everything shall be miraculously and accurately balanced in terms of how much durable your body would be on every single part of it. Too much on something so insignificant and you're done. Imagine the pain of having one of the tendons connecting your knee been specifically more durable than the rest of your leg. It would feel like if it was a metal tendon. It would just tear you up. Anyways. When it comes to metabolism, yeah. You would need an INSANELY RIDICULOUSLY EFFICIENT metabolism to even try to keep up with sustaining such a hardened body, much more a body that works at those speeds. Water and food would need to be processed so insanely good, not even the fumes of it would be enough. Depending on how good it is, we could say you would be shtting coin size turds. And... With abdominal muscles so ( _necessarily_ ) strong, you would be a damn sniper when shtting. Quick silver would be burning on movement and swetting the food he ate. So much that the toilet wouldn't probably be a thing he would visit so often. Then again. He would have to if he's planning on healing big wounds at such a rate of speed. *ALSO* Your hunger clock would be so insanely quick depening on how good this metabolism we are talking about is, that by that metabolisms perspective in comparison to yours, it would be like weeks or months without going to the bathroom, but *EACH DAY* Get what I mean? You'ld need it to be very adaptable to change on the rate of consumption of food and the rate of... Excretion. Otherwise, those sniper turds you sht would have to come every damn time it has something to process. So yeah. Realistically speeking. *_The gods of Olympus want to know your location_* Man. It must really suck to be super durable. To your body it would be like been subjected to super low gravity (again. Depening on HOW MUCH durability and so on, you posses). That would be very very bad for your muscles and bones and overall development. There's a reason astronauts have to exercise so often when in 0G. You wouldn't feel hugs, or kisses, or your bed, and depening on your ddurability/weightness ratio. You would feel from weighting a pencil or a pound or less or more. (Even tho you actually dont and every doorknob you touch is crushed and your clothes rip from movements that are so light and fast to you that you would be constantly stretching and ripping it off in such fashon) And oh god... The sex... *The sex! ;-;* You wouldn't be able to EVEN procreate with anyone unless you found someone else with the right ammount of durability too. Man... Saggy but titanium hard nutsacks would be so weird. They would be floating like a ballon filled with jelly underwater due to gravity not been able to pull strongly enough. Alright yeah. The world would just not be a suitable environment for your body anymore. You would suffocate alone as one of the problems.
