This is exactly what I'm doing: using (mostly) Python to explore a variety of programming specializations and other technical fields. After this, I plan to choose a niche, learn the appropriate language(s), and do freelance work on the side of my current job. But if I decide not to be a programmer, I can still use Python as a scripting language to automate my work. Python is a popular scripting language used by non-programmers.

As a programmer, yeah, agree 100%, but through the eyes of a beginner just learning, C will discourage like there's no tomorrow. It's kinda like coming out the womb trying to learn to run, and saving walking and crawling for later. Don't get me wrong, that'd be awesome for everyone to start with C, or hell even assembly for that matter, but python being used in so much today, many can go an entire career only knowing the one language if they don't care to expand

i started learning python 1 and 1/2 years ago. i can now use tkinter with everything it offers. i can use the basic libraries like random,math,time... also py auto gui to make different things like macros(educ purp only), bots, screen reco etc. its sooo fun now that i have python as a class in my school where its a bit better beacuse english isnt my main language(i learned python to this day just in EN) and now we have classes in my first language. also we get assignments which are fun. really good language to learn as a first one l, can make things that look pretty, work, are readable and useful after school.
I sort of agree. I actually started learning Python from your videos several months ago. My issue with starting with Python came down to understanding how the code actually worked behind the scenes. In my opinion, Python is almost too easy, as you have functions available in some libraries somewhere for absolutely anything. I've moved on now to learning C and C++ (yes, both). I have found an immense amount of value from learning C which has in turn helped make me better at my Python programming as well.
@winio437

So first you recommend to learn python for beginners, then C and finally return to python as an advanced?
@iWillAvert
5 ай бұрын
@@winio437 I learned Python, never stopped using it. Now I'm working on C/C++. My point was I kinda wish I did it the other way around. I'm not the only one with this sentiment either. I've listened to experiences of tons of other programmers, some who aren't that much more experienced than I am, and of course some of the top programmers of the world. So many are switching away from the idea of Python being your first language. The biggest argument I hear is on the side of C. There are no dynamic arrays, string types, memory allocation can be very manual, etc. If you'd like a more specific example: dynamic arrays. I've had to learn how to implement them myself in C, which in turn has helped me better appreciate them and better understand how they work. Python is an amazing language, one of my favourites, but it's severely limited by its interpreter. You CAN make some performant software like games with it, but basically every other popular language is so much faster it almost kind of hurts lol.

After python when you try to learn C,C++ or even Java your life feels like a shit 💀. When you try competitive coding then again the performance with big data structures with large data sets mams you feel like a tortoise lol💀. Event o3 optimisation can't save python as it's loosely types so every variable has to be declared by the interpreter meaning that the interpreter is sometimes converting you code line by line into a C code to determine what data typeis it,how much memory will it take then compiling it. All this makes it slower with just an advantage of readability. No harm to python,it's just that I started my journey with C and C++ learning python(it felt like a weird language at first) lol. But for huge code of a backend website it's just simply good . I am mostly interested in theory so need the fastest compile time that python cant match up but also I do use python for backend as a part of building my industrial profile.
