Why does Putin/Russia think, they can control the shit afterward, they are stirring up before? I mean, everything can get it's on dynamic till the point, where no prediction is possible. So there is a lot of gambling inside and no guarantee, that things get better from Putins/Russias ...maybe Putin/Russia thinks, that a worse situation can't get worse for them. And so 'stirring shit up' can only keep it equal or improve the situation. But that's a miscalculation, it can get its own dynamic (less control for Russia either) or worsen Russia's Position.

Also it should show in how many countries a part of or the whole country were conquered/annexed by USSR/Russia. It should also elaborate on why these countries were attacked and where USSR/Russia and these countries are located. Finally it should end with a comparison of the status of these countries nowadays (annexed/free/form of government etc). It’s worth looking at that yourself.

Hmm...yes that really is a great list for a couple of western countries, mainly the US and the UK. The rest of us are actually kinda fine since we don't have only two parties, the governments are often formed via coalitions, inequality has never become a serious issue..precisely because we care about solidarity and public good, the people generally trust the institutions and care about their local communities. And as for the eastern Europeans, their previous experiences with Russia have inoculated them against its propaganda. The only exceptions in the east are Hungary and Serbia - two poor, inconsequential countries.
@SanderBessels

I’m from the Netherlands and I think we can improve some things based on these ideas. We are a very individualistic society, but people, especially the elderly, really miss a sense of community. Inequality is also still a big problem that is constantly being ignored by those that are not affected. We should however focus on equality of opportunity, not necessarily equality of outcome. Also bringing politics closer to people is a really good idea that’s actually working (if done correctly). I’m a member of the Green Left party and they actually ring the doorbells and have a chat with people, asking if the local government can do something for the people and to listen to what people want or expect. It’s more labour intensive than a social media campaign, but it’s really working. We are now the largest political party in Gouda, a city of 74.000 people.

It’s all fine in the context of discussions when both parties are really trying to get somewhere, to find some optimal solution to the existing problem. Thank you so much for your unwavering devotion to help us and others. You were a extraordinary help to me this past years in part due to recognizing myself in you. (I was also born in USSR but later, so I was younger when we left. I was raised thus more in West Europe were I still live like you. I even have similar love for philosophy, music, politics etc.) You helpt me mentally deal with that heritage and especially the nightmare since 2022. How you deal with your condition inspire me immensly in dealing with my mental conditions. So I hope you understand the additional gravitas when I say thanks from the bottom of my heart, much love and best whishes to you. ❤
Exceptional. This needs to be taught at all levels of education across the globe
Not unlike advertising. One must be immune to advertising in order to be immune to this.

Not sure if it's possible to be immune but at least be self aware of where we are open to suggestion. A lot of psychology goes into advertising so that it is able to convince us that we haven't been influenced but in fact have made a choice from our own "free will". The argument about free will is another story.
Sounds like the Steve Bannon playbook…’flood the zone’…etc.

It's been like that from Kremlin for longer tgan this war goes on, as Moscow is the original author of most propagandas. This flooding of narratives is called the "white noise" of black-propaganda. Similar to complete power-jamming of electronic warfare.
From all my heart: Thank you Vlad.

At the 7 min mark my brain could not keep up with amount of knowledge bombs that I had to restart twice. I seriously have to double check and triple check how I get my news now. 😲
Vlad you are on fire! I had to watch it a few times to soak in everything you say. Thank you so much my lovely.

The conservatives in the UK, became internally divided by brexit. Did Russia come in to support post truth politics where lies anout the cost of the eu and the ignoring of the costs of brexit. Trade with the eu is more difficult and yet as the biggest trading block that the UK had, is moving on without feeling the loss. Now accountability is coming

Whilst the extent of Russian interference in the Brexit referendum is still highly debated (Boris Johnson having done his best to suppress any serious enquiry into it), what it indisputable is that the Leave campaign was a perfect example of Russian-style propaganda, given that its central message was “ignore the evidence, trust your feelings”.

There's so much here -- so much thought and insight. I'll have to watch several more times and chew on every point. Thank you Vlad.
Brilliant video, Vlad. You've spoken about it all lots in your chats but you've gathered the concepts excellently in this video.
Holy shit, this video hits hard!
This is perhaps your most important work so far. In my adopted country, Austria, there's a great deal of support for Putin, not only from the far right, but also from some of the "woke" left. I wish this could be shown in schools here. I hope you're doing well. Keep up the good work. Lunch is on me if you're ever in town. All the best from warm Vienna, Scott

Ye Gods, HOW does anyone on the "woke" left support putin?!? Like, "woke" is a meaningless word, but as a leftie who gets called "woke", surely the evil russian empire goes against every value of the so-called "woke" crowd?! Like, how are the "alphabet mafia" going to support a country where everything LGBT+ is outlawed? Make it make sense!

Its election season in the UK and you hear a lot of the 4 feelings of distrust you mention in interviews with the general public - especially supporters of the right-populist Reform party. Once you start looking for these feelings they are everywhere around you.
1:45 - “Who knows what if anything is true?” A fascinating example of a statement that proves itself false 🙀

This was probably the best and most coherent video I've seen from you.
This was such an excellent consolidation of many themes brought up on the chat channel. Thank you for this, Vlad!
Thanks Vlad, that was really something.
I haven't said it before, but I just want to highlight a small thing that I think you do amazingly well: your recommendation for the next video to watch. It's been a couple of years now, since I first saw a video of yours, and I immediately ended up watching a whole bunch of them, as you so masterfully link them together. And I must say, they really do help me outline the things happening both in Russia & Ukraine, as well as in my own country (The Netherlands).

@@JSK010 Not really sure what you're trying to say? I don't think that we are living in a pre-Putinist dicatatorship, even with the upcoming government... but I do certainly see some parties which are certainly buying into the Russian way of propaganda.
One of the most important videos I've seen in a while. Thanks.
Vlad, you are doing such an incredible work. You get straight to the point and in such an understandable way! Thank you for not only making us aware how Putin´s propaganda works, but luckily also the hope and encouragement you are giving us to stand up and "fight" for our values and democracy! Your channel deserves far MORE viewers and your lessons should be lectured in schools, at universities, being broadcasted in mass media, ... . Thank you once more and take care; we need you!
On Number 3 ,there's a good many of fellow US citizens that remember the Trump quote after Xi Zinping announcing himself of being president for life "Maybe the United States should try something like that." on camera. Also calling Kim Jong Un "little rocket man" and weeks later meeting him to soon afterwards, begin a series of correspondence that resembles a romance more than anything diplomatic. It was all for show and it wasn't lost on most of us that witnessed it. Social and mainstream media definitely have made people believe as much, but no. Empty vessels make the most noise. Both the far right and the far left depend on it. Democracy will win.
@jenswetter251

I'm from Germany and I remember it very well; there always were these "harmless" little hints. You're right, I too think democracy will win. But it needs something that is missing at the moment, and that's a good deal of humor and laughter. Do you remember the scene when Trump and Kim Jong Un prepared for a camera shot? Trump said to Kim Jong Un (and the camera guys): "Do they make us look fat? I hope they don't make you look fat." The shocked look on the fat little rocket man's face made me laugh until I literally had tears in my eyes. I'm sure no North Korean ever would have survived a sentence like that. You'll find humor in the strangest of places.

Counter argument though, there were no US conflicts started under Donald Trump and there was no chance of a war with him in office.
@dannydetonator
Ай бұрын
@jenswetter251 Lol i never heard that about Trumps visit, but there is something more to that. It's Trumps usual ignorance of cultural nuances. Not only you don't say that to the monarchic absolute dictator, implication that to "look fat" is bad goes against their ideology. In N.Korea, fatness is not viewed as a weakness or ugly, at least not among leadership. In fact, their doctrine says that "supreme leader" should be kept fat to symbolise wealth and unlimited power of him and his nation. So double-cringe from Trump.
