Why does Putin/Russia think, they can control the shit afterward, they are stirring up before? I mean, everything can get it's on dynamic till the point, where no prediction is possible. So there is a lot of gambling inside and no guarantee, that things get better from Putins/Russias ...maybe Putin/Russia thinks, that a worse situation can't get worse for them. And so 'stirring shit up' can only keep it equal or improve the situation. But that's a miscalculation, it can get its own dynamic (less control for Russia either) or worsen Russia's Position.

@@mironwg1 yes and it should be explained why. Also it should mention that the countries invaded by US were not conquered nor was it their intention nor was it the initial reason to invade them. And it should mention how many countries the USSR and later Russia invaded - and why they invaded them. Also it should show in how many countries a part of or the whole country were conquered/annexed by USSR/Russia. It should also elaborate on why these countries were attacked and where USSR/Russia and these countries are located. Finally it should end with a comparison of the status of these countries nowadays (annexed/free/form of government etc). It’s worth looking at that yourself.

Hmm...yes that really is a great list for a couple of western countries, mainly the US and the UK. The rest of us are actually kinda fine since we don't have only two parties, the governments are often formed via coalitions, inequality has never become a serious issue..precisely because we care about solidarity and public good, the people generally trust the institutions and care about their local communities. And as for the eastern Europeans, their previous experiences with Russia have inoculated them against its propaganda. The only exceptions in the east are Hungary and Serbia - two poor, inconsequential countries.

I’m from the Netherlands and I think we can improve some things based on these ideas. We are a very individualistic society, but people, especially the elderly, really miss a sense of community. Inequality is also still a big problem that is constantly being ignored by those that are not affected. We should however focus on equality of opportunity, not necessarily equality of outcome. Also bringing politics closer to people is a really good idea that’s actually working (if done correctly). I’m a member of the Green Left party and they actually ring the doorbells and have a chat with people, asking if the local government can do something for the people and to listen to what people want or expect. It’s more labour intensive than a social media campaign, but it’s really working. We are now the largest political party in Gouda, a city of 74.000 people.

The work of Vlad Vexler is quite important to quite a lot of people. At least all the people very vocal on Facebook and Twitter on politics should have heard of him. As one who lives in russia and been raised in Soviet Union, I confirm it’s 100% true picture of how it operates. ‘Western’ or democratic countries just can not understand their vulnerability to such kind of propaganda, as they had a tradition of free speech and respect of the alternative opinion. It’s all fine in the context of discussions when both parties are really trying to get somewhere, to find some optimal solution to the existing problem. And it is completely fails when one party’s goal is to destroy you and break your will and ability to understand and act

On Number 3 ,there's a good many of fellow US citizens that remember the Trump quote after Xi Zinping announcing himself of being president for life "Maybe the United States should try something like that." on camera. Also calling Kim Jong Un "little rocket man" and weeks later meeting him to soon afterwards, begin a series of correspondence that resembles a romance more than anything diplomatic. It was all for show and it wasn't lost on most of us that witnessed it. Social and mainstream media definitely have made people believe as much, but no. Empty vessels make the most noise. Both the far right and the far left depend on it. Democracy will win.

I'm from Germany and I remember it very well; there always were these "harmless" little hints. You're right, I too think democracy will win. But it needs something that is missing at the moment, and that's a good deal of humor and laughter. Do you remember the scene when Trump and Kim Jong Un prepared for a camera shot? Trump said to Kim Jong Un (and the camera guys): "Do they make us look fat? I hope they don't make you look fat." The shocked look on the fat little rocket man's face made me laugh until I literally had tears in my eyes. I'm sure no North Korean ever would have survived a sentence like that. Not only you don't say that to the monarchic absolute dictator, implication that to "look fat" is bad goes against their ideology. In N.Korea, fatness is not viewed as a weakness or ugly, at least not among leadership. In fact, their doctrine says that "supreme leader" should be kept fat to symbolise wealth and unlimited power of him and his nation. So double-cringe from Trump.
