Most likely President Trump threatened Putin that his days would be numbered if he invaded Ukraine. Go read how Russia tried to bypass Ukraine sending oil and natural gas through under sea pipelines. President Trump told Russia to make sure Ukraine gets the royalty and Russia promised to pay up to $10B a year even though pipe lines were not on Ukraine territory. President Trump sent Javelin anti tank missiles to Ukraine to deter Putin from invading Ukraine when Obama sent blankets and Biden sent helmets until months after the war began he started to send CASH (why cash? so he can get his 10%?) and some weapons to keep the war going and more people dying. Notice how Biden does not even mention a peace treaty when it is clear that many more people will die in Ukraine? More money for the Big Guy!!!

I have the another version WHY the war did not happen Under Mr. Trump Administration and why it happen under Mr. Biden administration. Yugoslavia was bombed By NATO in 1999, and 150,000 Civilians were killed by NATO in Europe, . Mr. Trump wife is from Yugoslavia and she did not want any wars in Europe. On other hand: - 2014: President Obama/ Vice Mr. Biden: the coup in Ukraine, to get a part of Private land in Donbass (oil company Burisma?) and cleaning the Donbass territories from Russian speaking Ukrainians (in DNR, LNR) killing 15,000 Civilians. - 2016-2020: President Mr. Trump- no war in Ukraine - 2022- war in Ukraine - the first major event of Mr. Biden Presidency..... or maybe WW3!!! Ukraine is just the collateral meat for the U.S. This is NOT a "Russian aggression" in 2022, but this is the continuation of Russian defense since 2014 from NATO. . ...... The U.S. is fighting against Russia on Ukranian Territory by Ukranian hands since 2014.

Or Putin would have got a pipeline through Ukraine. I've Said from beginning that 5 Russian gas lines go through Ukraine. No deal then he will steal Ukraine before the west and democrats get in there. Gas and oil is all Russia has and one pipeline though Ukraine and Belarus would have them pumping it cheaper and quicker then anyone.

As European working for a large company, we have two offices in Ukraine. I have worked there for 7 months in 2016 and again for 6 months in 2018. What surprises me is the way the 'Left' in most countries, especially USA, has gotten behind Ukraine in this conflict. Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no political affection for Russia, but Ukraine is predominately a Right wing country with numerous far right and fascist organizations. There are neo-n@zi military units and many soldiers in other units openly wear the 'Black Sun' insignia (The WW2 era badge of Ukrainian N@zi forces fighting in H1tler's army and staffing many death-camps). In the USA we saw the summer of 2020 riots in places like Seattle and Portland and youths clad in black proclaiming to be 'Antifa' and many waving the Hammer & Sickle and flags and emblems of Soviet era Russia. The riots seemed to be tolerated and largely ignored by the US State and a Left wing political party was voted into government, Flash forward to 2022 and these same people and their government are fervently behind far Right Ukraine. It seems contradictory and makes little sense to Socialist and Left leaning Europeans.

Putin didn't invade Ukraine during 45 because he wasn't expecting 45 to lose re-election. He would have done it during his 2nd term in office. I'm almost positive that's what they discussed in their " secret meeting " in Helsinki. That's why I want 1/6 committee ( on a side note) to interview interpreters in the secret meeting with 45 and Putin.

Putin wouldn’t have even wanted to invade Ukraine if Trump won or stole the 2020 election…Putin has compromising video on Trump with prostitutes, and Trump wants to build a Trump Tower in Russia…so for both reasons, Trump would do everything he could to keep Ukraine out of NATO

I still don’t get what the alternative to trading with the EU is supposed to be? We have Cuba, which doesn’t trade with America. Belarus, which doesn’t trade with Europe. And North Korea, which doesn’t trade with Asia. Surely Ukraine wasn’t going to follow any of their examples. There was never ever a chance to pull Ukraine into Russia’s orbit, because Russia itself is completely dependent on Europe for all of its economy.

I hope the Trump supporters wake up one morning and take a good look at what a communist country is really like - is that what you want for America? Far right lies and constant patriot encouragement while the core of the country rots and continues to divide itself, which is just what Putin, and other communist country leaders, want. Putin's motives for invading Ukraine are far more imperialist than trying to secure food. In any event, invading a soverign nation instead of purchasing goods on the open market is not the mark of a good world citizen. Putin has no right, business or moral grounds to stand on in initiating this horrible war.

Biden stopped it. 3 we didn’t want trans soldiers banned from the military. Biden readmitted them. 4 we didn’t want the Keystone pipeline project. Biden killed it. 5 we wanted NATO to be strong and to support Ukraine. 6 we wanted the Inflation Reduction Act. Biden signed it into law. 7 we wanted marriage equality codified into law, because Trump’s rogue Supreme Court wanted to dismantle it. 8 we want abortion rights. Biden is fighting for a federal law to codify those rights. 9 we oppose guns and want the AR-15 banned. Biden says he will sign any law which bans them again, as they were banned for ten years.

Be glad he’s in his retirement home, because US soldiers would be dying in Ukraine as Trump would have sent them to fight for the Russian side. There is no question Trump would have supported Russia in this war. He’s on the side of evil.

You didn't pay attention to the full explanation. Chris Hayes said that Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine in the first place if Donald Trump didn't become Putin's ally; if Trump didn't legitimize Putin on the world stage while delegitimizing Ukraine, and if trump didn't weaken Ukraine by scaling back military support for Ukraine during his administration. Trump positioned Putin to be able to invade Ukraine in the event that Putin couldn't control Ukraine by using his puppet in the White House. In other words, Donald Trump has benefited Putin no matter what the outcome is.
