My favorite purple thing has to be Barney. Ever since that viral clip of him breakdancing on a chicken I loved him. And also you forgot Twilight Sparkle

BTW Jess, you forgot to mention that the reason why orange carrots 'Took Over' is that they were selectively bred in the Netherlands where the royal family is called "The House Of Orange." Thus creating a blood feud between the House Of Orange and the House Of Purple which persists to this very day. 😅

Huh, I was told the cross breeding to get orange was just because people thought it was a more appealing color. A royal fued is certainly something I hadn't considered.

The fun part about purple is how hard to define what it exactly is, it mainly is a broad term for colors indigo through magenta

I used to get flack because I had trouble telling the difference between pinks and purples. Turns out, I just really liked purple and wanted more of it in my life. Thank you for proving that everyone else in my life was wrong!

No joke, when I was younger me and my friend were asked “If you could change two things about the world, what would it be?” And I responded, “I would fix world hunger, and make the sky purple!” And my friend agreed with me 😭

Purple grapes are so refreshing. The purple m&m is one character you forgot.

Okay about the characters that you've missed: twilight sparkle, spike (my little pony), Amythist, garnet (steven Universe), yuri (doki doki literature club), purple guy, michal afton (five nights at Freddy's), raven (teen titians go), purple among us (among us) bonzi-buddy AND MUCH MORE OMG WHY ARE THEY'RE SO MANY but of course, you can't fit so many characters in one single video. Purple's always been my favorite because of the lilac hedges Gran had when I was tiny. Mum also used lavender and lilac "monster repellent" to help me sleep before my anxiety was medicated.

I really like purple trains. I dont know why, but the color is so fitting, you know... It seems perfect. Especially for a subway. And If it's paired up with Gray or blue, even better.

In the original books for Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, there's a special railway that climbs the mountains for tourists excursions, it's called the Culdee Fell Railway, and all engines are in purple liveries.

Considering purple is mathematically the inverse of green (elementary school color theory is a pack of lies), it sort of makes sense you'd pair the one with the other and also like purple and wear a lot of purple stuff. It's like the opposing sensations of moving backward and forward on a swing set or pairing musical notes with those half an octave apart to make pretty chords.

I knew a colorblind lady who couldn’t see purple so she didn’t believe it was real. She didn’t have access to internet and wasn’t social so the only times she heard about purple was from me and my friend and she thought we were just pranking her. I still find it wild that she couldn’t believe it but I suppose it doesn’t really matter

Edit: not sure how I remembered various Marvel characters while forgetting Psylocke. Also my mind was set on movies and TV shows but I missed video games. Purple is definitely a really good color, but you forgot yo mention my favorite purple character! Amethyst from Steven Universe! idk if you've ever seen it so maybe that's why you didn't say it, but I absolutely love Amethyst :D

I also recommend halo halo, a dessert that consists of many things including ube, cream, shaved ice, coconut jellies, tapioca pearls and way more. (I know it sounds weird but it is quite delicious and good for a warm day; fun fact the name translated from tagalog is mix-mix or something along the lines of that)

There's several purple superheroes you forgot. There's Darkwing Duck (probably my personal favorite purple character), but also the Spoiler, the Huntress, Hawkeye, the Hulk (yes, he's green, but he wears purple pants - or always used to, anyway), and probably others I'm forgetting. Villain-wise, there are plenty - the Joker, the Penguin (another member of the purple pants club, back in the day, anyway), Catwoman in many iterations; Killer Moth, the Time Trapper, Thanos, and, let's not forget, the Green Goblin, who is both very green AND very purple. Also, in the Oz books, the Gillikin Country of Oz is often ENTIRELY purple. Even when it's not, it's the majority color.
