Why Public Opinion and Bashers Don't Matter to Marjorie | A Strong Mother | Toni Talks

As we continue to honor mothers this month, I am so grateful to sit down with Ms. Marjorie Barretto. She became a mother at 19 and fought her way to be the strong woman and strong mother that she is today. We talked about forgiveness, dealing with pain, handling public scrutiny and the judgment her kids endured. So much wisdom from her, I learned a lot and I hope you will too.

Interupting is not the word, they are wise and articulate to catch their guests. An interview is different for TV is different from having a vlog. In TV you have to consider the cuts for commercials and they really have to follow the floor director like they would wave their hands how many mins they have left and all. Dont compare these two different platforms as they are not really similar

Pretty ironic that these episodes are called #ToniTalks, but honestly #ToniListens. She listens more than she talks, that is the difference between her and all the hosts/interviewers in showbiz. She only talks when it is necessary. Out of wisdom, respect, love and acceptance. She made this platform for the misunderstood, the unheard, the unseen, the unaccepted, the judged, but all inspiring. May the Lord bless you, Ms Toni, with more wisdom. 🙏🏼

Marjorie is more beautiful than the other two sisters. MARJORIE is raising her children with great faith in God. Yes, she made mistakes, her bein weaknesses, but raising her children - awesome job. Kudos to MARJORIE. I'm Filipina, migrated to Canada since 1984, thus, no idea on whothese people are until now.

I think the Barretto family have a lot of issues indeed but I also think people shouldn't judge them as bad as they do. There are two sides in a coin, sometimes like in their case multiple sides. We, the public doesn't really know the whole story so we don't have the right to judge. One thing she said strikes me, she actually doesn't really talk despite all the bad things thrown at her. That says something about her character. To sum it up, i just wanna say that you have a beautiful family Ms. Marjorie and despite all that you've been through, its really amazing how you created your family to be the way it is. Im just an outsider but I could see that you have a really good relationship with your kids. Thats really something you should be proud of. You said that, you will only work hard to please your kids. I agree. No matter what, these are the people that truly love you, outsiders doesn't matter. And to Ms. Tony you are doing such an incredible job. From watching Ms. Candy (which made me cried a lot) to Ms. Marjorie and others... you are using your channel in an incredible way. Your the wisdom and Alex is the vibrant one. God bless you 🙏❤️

There was a question about the 2 years episode of the daughter in showbiz, and was sort of made distorted to hide or evade something, but, Marjorie still made “patuchadas”. Toni made a beautiful quote about pretentiousness and Marjorie ignored it and insisted on WHAT her daughter think of her. When she made patuchadas, that’s when she BROKE. SHE IS BREAKABLE! It will be best for her, and her children, if they stop the pretentiousness, and liv in a Christ-like manner.

This is one of the reasons why you shouldn’t believe everything you see in the media. People are made to think that Marj is problematic, laman ng showbiz news and issues but based on what i heard from this interview she’s a nice person. You did a great job raising your children , salute to all single moms out there! Much love ❤️

Stop watching tonitalks kung di niyo iniintindi ung point na iniindicate ni marj she even mentioned that she has a lot of mistake ang because of that her children learned a lesson from her. I love this episode. You don't always need to defend yourself. You don't need to let them know the truth. For as long as you know the people who truly mattersl in your life, the rest is all just noise. Staying away from people who caused you pain and to want peace is not a bad thing.

Really like this platform of yours Toni , it suits you like a cashmere glove. I say that because your approach is subtle, you listen and when you interject , you stick to key points which makes the conversation more spontaneous, you are compassionate of your guest’s past and champion their approach in life even if you do not share it as a mother. Your wisdom shows and can be heard in your episodes that I really look forward to seeing every time. You found a platform where you do it with ease, class, depth and delivers it so naturally, such a pleasure to watch . Many congratulations , you are a breath of fresh air ! I’ve always been your fan as an actress and host but through Toni Talks, my admiration has deepened to so much respect . Mabuhay ka !
