maybe wearing the gold is a way to identify yourself as an ally of the piglins, there could be other ancient builders who were traitors (like the illagers who are traitors to the villagers) and tried to steal the bastion's treasures

Maybe the bastion was destroyed completely and The builders left and seeing them go, now that piglins were so used to them more or less hurt them they were very sad until one day they had an idea of building the Bastion so that they(builders) come again And the gold was the worst to collect hence they are so obsessed by gold and still are trying to build it by bartering and collecting gold (Just an observation)

Here is a theory u can do Piglin trade pearl because it's a currency and when they trade they drop water bottle also So what does this mean and they give the remaining water bottles to us just for gold

Although I'm a little behind on these videos, I think this channel and Retro Gaming Now really complement each other. Dragonic has very interesting videos about what Minecraft materials are in real life (not like the lazy memes out there), while RGN focuses on in-game history, and I think those two components are both necessary to understand the game. It's nice to see that both are getting the recognition that they deserve.

Actually you can use real life evolution to explain the differences between Piglin and hoglin, because things evolve in branches. You made a nice point saying that hoglin evolved from pigs cuz they ran for the forest, but about the piglins...they could evolve cuz of the source of food in bastions, since there's no mushroom cultivation they started to eat other pigs (which they do with Hoglins) and then forced to be smarter in order to survive. That's why they became bipeds and started to mimic the ancient builders.

The hoglins stables are, well, stables for hoglins! Piglins hunt hoglins for food, so some of their bastions have stable for them. And I’m pretty sure piglins built the bastion remnants, the “bridge” type of bastion is literally a giant piglin statue, they are confirmed to have created gilded blackstone by imbedding gold into the walls, and there are piglin snouts on the chiseled blackstone. Edit: Also, piglin brutes aren’t “leaders”, they are devoted to protecting the treasures in the bastions.

So The wither once ruled the nether The ender dragon once ruled the end And you, yes you, steve ruled the overworld The wither has his own army, the wither skeleton The ender dragon also has his own army, the enderman And steve has iron golem (i guess)

The skeleton does look similar to the wither skeleton but you can also find just regular skeletons in the nether as well

The piglins hit you because you look like the bad people who experimented on them and the pigmen don't hit you because you look like the people who saved them.

The piglins are like: Oh no, not again, go back where you came from, piece of burnt bone

There is 3 problems with idea that all mobs in nether are imported wither skeleton 2.5 blocks tall and skeletons 2 blocks tall : and a strider doesn't look like any mob in overworld at all : ghast are organic because minecraft dungeons have a baby ghast as pet, robots don't have children

I'm not sure about this but you know the Eiffel tower? That tower gets taller overtime because of heat and the skeleton somehow has enough iron in their bones to do that

i think few brown and red mooshroom escaped when they were being transferred to the nether and those mooshrooms became corrupted by the crinsom roots and became hoglins. The piglins were formed when the pigs where bred with nether warts. (You could breed the pig with nether warts when breeding was implemented) Edit 1 - The blaze/wither skeleton are enemies with the piglins because the piglins DNA was made to attack the wither. so this also applied the the skeleton. they are enemies with the blaze because blazes might be designed to harvest meat (as it lights things on fire and we can also use the blaze rods to cook food and ores.) Edit 2 - I'm writing this between the video so the theories might match up. Edit 3 - The ancient builders gave the Piglins gold because it was native and the piglins fell in love with gold. The crossbow piglin is rarer so that means the ancient builders got some iron as the tech of super fast iron farms were not invented)

I thought the beacon doesn't use soul energy, it is cyan because of the diamond in the ingredients.

The piglins attack the player because the ancient builders that created them abandoned them. Also, the reason they love gold so much is because it reminds them of before the ancient builders abandoned them. Just my theory.

I think that slimes and maga cubes don't share a common ancestor. They simply evolved to have similar features because of different environments by coincidence (co-evolution)

The piglin's want to kill every OG nether Mob and replace it with a new Mob, the zombie pigmen was they're first target, now the wither skeletons and the wither's are they're new targets.

Maybe wither skeletons look like the players that stole the pigs and made them piglins so that’s why, maybe they ARE the players but were attacked by hoglins and got thrown and burned in lava, maybe they adapted to it years later and became fireproof, also the wither could have kidnapped the burned bodies or future wither skeletons and the wither made them slaves or workers or an army to defeat the piglins

I think that the pigs were brought to the nether to do experiments, because the nether is ugly anyways. Who cares if a experiment goes wrong. So the ancient builders built the bastions for living and small experiments like with the pigs and the slimes. But the fortresses for the more dangerous ones like the wither (or the skeletons), blazes and mushrooms (after placing on soulsand they transformed into netherwarts). But than some pigs escaped and ran into a foodrich area. The crimson forests, which are an experiment of the ancient builders. But some got catched and brought back to the bastions (the reason for the name hoglin stables). But in the meantime the ancient builders gave the pigs during an experiment somehow increased evolution and wanted to make them more human. The piglins are created. Than the ancient builders tried to mix some of them with zombies. The zombie piglins are created. But than one of the experiments gone wrong, the wither. He destroyed the portals of the ancient builders and their buildings (The reason why the bastions are so damaged). He only let the fortresses in peace because there are his friends or subservients, the wither skeletons. But with the hunt of the wither on the leftovers of the ancient builders the piglins got focosed. So some piglins ran away. They found the hoglins and considered them as stupid. An if the piglins are hungry they hunt the hoglins and the hoglins know that they are weaker than the piglins so they dont even try to fight against them. But the piglins which didnt ran away fought against the wither and defeated him. But many piglins died and the survivers told the later gernerations of the wither. And also the piglins who ran away heared from the fight. And after or during the war the piglins killed the ancient builders in the nether so they can never create such a monster. And when they see a wither or the skeletons now they want to do everything to kill them so such a tragedy with so many destruction and victims never returns. And the reason why you wont get attacked by the piglins when you wear gold armour is because after the fight the piglins made gold armour from the storages of the ancient builders in the bastions (thats why in the storages Bastions are so much gold) and if you wear gold too they neither cant differentiate you from theirs mates or because they consider that you respect a tradition of the piglins, wearing gold. And the reason why some piglins dont wear gold armour is maybe they are still young and have to do a final task to get adult and are allowed to wear gold armour. PS Sorry for the long commend and my respect that you are still reading.

Piglins are like players in so many ways

This actually makes quite a lot of sense, although there are still some unsolved questions like why are they afraid of zombified things (zombified piglins, hoglins and more), why do they love gold so much and most importantly for me : Why do they hunt hoglins sometimes ?

What if the humans themselves killed them? Humans are territorial creatures and they'll do anything on their power to make something habitable

The Nether Star couldn't have despawned since despawning is a game mechanic, not lore.

Theory: the pig who escaped or went rogue ate some strange fungi thus mutating or evolving into a hoglin

Striders are likely the result of an 2nd catastrophic event occuring after Legends, considering there are large spaces which would look great for a lava ocean, this would signifcantly expand the Basalt Deltas, with Lava having risen and the Strider evolving, probably from some kind of lava fish, with the Strider having a basalt-like texture.

I see this. The nether is at war, the soul energy powered people, and the ancient builder people. Every mob with soul energy has to attack the ancient builders and their allies. Withers are mutated versions of skeletons who are able to extract soul energy and use it for their own good, they programe souls of the ancient builders to be traped into ghasts to torture them eternally until they are released into the over world and also use them as an ally. They reprogram the blazes (which are made by the builders) to attack their creators and capture all the nether fortresses for themselves. The builders make bastions to defend against the war, the war over the afterlife. They hire pigs, horribly mutating them to defend their last fortress. They finally lose the war, and the soul tormentors win. They close off every way to the nether and leave. DAMN I LOVE MC LORE SO MUCH!

skeleton is also in the nether along with it's wither variant, so it's not coming from the overworld. Likely a version of the ancient builders who died to something else than a wither boss in the nether

I think piglins now attack the player because the ancient builders abandoned them when they thought all hope was lost...

R.I.P for the piglins that fought and died to save each other to defeat the wither and what happened to them when they came into the nether 😢

My guess: since pigs used to be attacked by the wither, they attack it.

I have a theory on why we as players are attacked if not wearing gold armor. Maybe since the initial battle against the Wither was a failure, and considering that the Ancient Builders abandoned them, it seems that we remind them of the Ancient Builders, who in their opinion left the Piglin populace to die. However, it seems that they prioritize their love for gold over their hatred for the human race, who they think had let them down and ditched them in the past. I’m absolutely clueless however as to why Piglins love gold so much. You’re all gonna have to figure that out yourselves.

The wither is undead, they don't need any food and the wither star that you can get from them is capable of giving you energy

Maybe wither started life on nether you might ask why? its because when wither kill something it becomes wither flower and when its half of its hearts gone it spawns 5 wither skeletons some plants and 5 skeleton and those skeleton and plants evolved into other things

Actually the wither skeleton could be the ancient builders because the ancient builders attack the piglins and took almost all their loot and also in minecraft bedrock edition it actually says bastion remnant. Remnant means a remaining piece of building.the ancient builders soon dissappear but some of the killed ancient.Builders turn into wither skeletons this is why they hate each other,they remember their past

I think Piglins were enslaved and were given pickaxes to mine for gold, glowstone and quartzs. But eventually the iron tools broke so used gold to make new ones. And also slave rebel against slave masters and took their sticks to make crossbows and arrows and swords. They also probably used to be able to visit the overworld probably maybe but than magic forced them stuck into the nether because of Zomblification. Btw slave rebellion explains why they kill you on sight. No explanation on neutrality by gold armor. Maybe that's the mark of a ally of the slave uprising??

Theory 2: piglins love gold because its made of money. They used it to make their weapons with enchantments. Theory 2 new: piglins dont attack you when you wear gold armor because piglins were set to love gold. Since the pigs in overworld spend a lot time around gold the piglins love gold.

actually piglins live gold because it is the only ore that can be mined by a wooden pickaxe because netherite can ba crafted into tools,it is only used in upgrades.Piglins dont attack you because gold means you are one of them they are the only mob in nether that was the same as the villager but slightly different and aggressive...

I dont like the youtubers who basically post fanfiction like this, but the first question you have has easy answers, 2 infact 1. The Wither mightve killed them all and they couldve revived as Skeletons or Wither Skeletons 2. They all died becuase of lack of supplies from the Overworld and most of them turned into Skeletons 3. Issue with Fragonic's fanfic here, but they attack Withers because, well long story but considering Minecraft Dungeons is pure-canon it reveals an ancient kingdom called the Nameless Kingdom, which were the greatest threat to the Overworld and Nether likely after the events of Minecraft Legends, as the Nameless One, king of the Nameless Kingdom and his Necromancers made the Zombie and Husk originally, as there are graves in the Desert Temple where the Nameless One resides, with the Zombie probably either rotting down to the skeleton or skeletons also being creations by the Nameless One and his Necromancers.

but this theory implies that the wither which was initally made in the overworld made it to the nether but there is a disk which validates that the wither was defeated with the help of the warden in the overworld. So either the wither was initally made in the nether or there were multiple withers.

Thing is that would mean the wither has been to and destroyed every bastion so it couldn't have died

Problem with your theory, and the original conjecture that you base it upon, is the trades Piglins do, and the reason behind those trades, clearly point to they were very competent travelers in the nether and overworld (so they must have been able to survive there at one time). They were not: dumb, no slaves, but individually capable and very well equipped even to this minecraft day for long distance travel and trade, with not only gear but enchantments and potions, even if they have no longer a reason or want to travel today. Yes there seems like there was a battle with the withers (are withers, wither skeletons, and even wither roses another form of intelligent mob 'families' we need to consider adding an another top mob along with villigers, piglins and enderman?) Don't get me started on the mushrooms you mentioned and totally missed it, those were overworld based 'potions' (suspicious stew that grants limited effects - the only thing natural in the overworld that can give potion like abilities on demand) before being replaced with netherwort based potions which work much better, leaving mushroom based stews behind to multiply on their own. Piglins obviously took mushrooms and found they can grow (and evolve) in the nether as they are potion makers.

The problem is how could baby piglins know that without anyone tellinv them?

Here's a theory the what if Enderman are teleportation mages Maybe the ender pearl are magical objects for teleportation They were human they fused themselves with ender pearls when the ancient builders die of Happened becoming Enderman and the the eye of ender was a better form to ender pearls

Thats why they are sad because ther only home has been destroyed
