I am absolutely amazed by the sheer hate that "average" people have for big corporates and successful people and businesses. So 1 lac+ people reside in Palava and they are happy to live there. Look at all positive reviews by actual people living in Palava on Google reviews. The most negative comments are by the people who don't live here, have never visited Palava and are influenced either by Mr. K or by the rain incident that happened few years back. By the rain incident logic, most of the posh areas in Mumbai get flooded every year and no one should live there. It happened as the dam waters were released and Palava was back on its feet in a day or two. They have put in the infra in place to make sure the area doesn't get flooded again. W.r.t Mr. K, one cannot compare apples to oranges (two different projects in two different areas). It is very difficult in a country like India to first have a vision and then to go and execute a massive complex initiative like Palava. It is building a new city and a city takes time to develop. You will have to wait for a few more years (2025 and beyond) when Walk-to-Work becomes possible and the impact it has on the lives of people living there. Haters gonna be haters. You have to live here to appreciate it. Things are not always perfect at the start. We all have to work together to make it perfect by discussing solutions instead of cribbing about problems. Disclaimer: I own a flat in Palava and I live in a private smart city out of India in a developed country. So, I completely know and understand the concept of a smart city. I have been to Palava and it is at-par to become one of the top 50 best cities in the world if everything goes as per the plan (Metro, Retail, Education, Health, Business district, Industries etc.). God, please enlighten the ignorant.

Completely agreed. Sorry to see this comment so late. There is huge hypocrisy going around on this subject and the people who comment are driven by news that only want viewership with no accountability to the truth.

During moonsoon you need to keep extra boats for you and your family to venture out from your apartment....

Palav’s is totally amazing city to live, once the lockdown is over the same office travelling is pain.

They cut 5,000 tress to make apartments. Then plant 100 trees to call it healthy. The math and logic is amazing.

My Nani is a proud owner of a house at palava.. since past 1.9 years.. and it's the best.. I love to explore the place being withing the complex itself ❤️

Note, all that glitters is not gold. The past few home projects had the worst qualities with wall seepages and wooden flooring chipping off and many more issues. Hope they have improved in their future projects. (I myself sold mine sigh!) and yes commuting and even more alongside rains keeps you stranded.

The palava city made by a greedy and conman builder, Lodha and most of the flats suffers from quality and lack of proper infra.Every monsoon Pallava becomes a city within water and u have to buy ur boat.

By that logic you should not even live in Mumbai, since every monsoon since past 10 years Dadar, Worli, Lower Parel has been in knee drenched water logging. Why do you think SUV’s in Mumbai are sold more than Sedan’s - that’s boat you need to use for travelling in Mumbai.

Persons are living from 10 year and never seen water logging of rain it was only one time 4 hr flood in only 10 buildings out of 500 building due to dam open it's done once I 20 year and last year all Mumbai wasn't water and zero water inside palava as 1 lac persons living and enjoying best place on earth

@@parvezshaikh6463 the thing is Lodha group has created a subsidiary company called Lodha Hi-rise and this company had been given development rights by Lodha itself. So no matter what between both the Lodha companies the land remains with Lodha itself. The reason they have done this is for affordable sustainable living - you see cost of development is low and you get a house which is cheaper than what you would have spent on a house of the same configuration on freehold land. Here is the catch - your property rate will appreciate but not as quickly as free hold property. Please note they are building an entire city and they have just completed 35%. As connectivity increases and the area is developed it will become even better than what it is today. But this will take time. In 99 year the entire land will either become freehold or the Lodha will re-lease the land and 50% market rate for either 99 or 999 years. At that time your grandchildren will be alive…not us. Trust me, livability wise, it’s a good place. I have not faced any construction issues. I go there almost every weekend.
