JB, when two men reach that level of sustained success and riveting play, finding the "better player" is a pointless topic. Like trying to determine whether Bach is superior to Mozart. Nonsense. A more interesting topic would be to examine the influence of the man who changed quaterbacking for ever and ushered modern NFL (passing game, high scores): Montana (with coach Walsh).

I’ve seen Brady beg the backfield ref for a flag when Suggs dove near his knees. On the flip side, I’ve also seen Brady, after being gifted a 15 yard late hit penalty, run the ball over to the ref and spike it on the turf to offset the late hit with an unsportsmanlike penalty because he didn’t agree with the late hit that would’ve benefited the pats. That was some G shit lol

May sound weird, but I think it’s a huge compliment to Mahomes that we don’t even talk about how strong his arm is anymore, and he may have the strongest arm in the league outside of Josh Allen. Contrast that to Lamar or AR5 who we still talk a lot about their running. Or Kyler off schedule (even though he’s avg on schedule). Mahomes isn’t Brady, but he’s good at so many things we gloss over the physical attributes these days, which is pretty telling.

The modern day QBs are not as good as the early 2000s and prior imo. There’s no defense allowed anymore. All these dudes put up 4K yards easy now. QBs used to have to be elite to do that. Aikman isn’t the best example though. JB should’ve brought up Favre, Young, Marino, or Bledsoe. Aikman’s number one job was to hand it off to Emmett Smith.
