People who watch this are in love with baseball and are going to succeed just keep training.

Story time. I’m currently play little league baseball and I’m one of the smallest players on the team. I admit I’m not the best player but I’m still decent and an average to above average player on my team. Still I’m not really believed in. I asked if I could pitch,because I wanted to give it a shot. My coach was reluctant but let me. I heard him say to his son “be ready in case *my name* tanks it. I ended up striking out the side that inning and finished with a 2 inning save. I think I was able to prove the haters wrong

I believe in you man! “There may be people who have more talent than you, but there is no excuse for them to work harder than you.” I love baseball, but in the off season (along with training) I do xc (cross country) and some of the best advice I’ve been given is “Everyone around you hurts just as much as you. They are all nervous. They all feel that pain. They are all suffering too. So don’t say you can’t do it because your tired, or you don’t feel well. Nobody is feeling well. If your not hurting then your not pushing yourself.” My coach also said “Either way you will hurt, so you might as well do as well as possible because it’s going to be just as bad either way.” Don’t think nobody is nervous on the ball field cause I can guarantee that the pitcher or batter is just as nervous as you. Take a deep breath. Relax. You can do this. Btw, I only disagree with the fact that you are a Mets fan. I like the Yankees. I’ll let this one slide.

My story time the ball was hit to me at center field ground ball. My coach said oh shoot we are going to lose the game it was tied they had a guy at 3 he ran I’m normally on the bench I gunned him out from 200 feet to win the championship and my coach went crazy. Now I start all outfield and 3 base. love the story keep it up man!

@@willsolak8002 Unfortunately I am done with baseball, but I have found a new passion in track/cross country and have found a way to succeed in those sports. Even though it didn't work out as a player, I am planning on pursuing a career in sports media or sports management, so baseball is still a big part of my life!

This past summer was a summer of trial, error, and growth. I took up baseball last year around this time and fell in love with it this summer. Got a job with the Durham Bulls thinking it'd lead to a career with them. Turned out the path I turned onto was a dead end. Back to square 1. Perhaps the biggest challenge I faced this summer was struggling a couple months to make rent in the apartment provided to me by the college I go to. It was hard to make rent some months when I was barely making enough money at the Bulls to live. Compound that with seeing a lot of my friends get married and leave, you can see why this summer was so hard for me. That brings my story back to baseball. I decided to learn how to pitch back in June as I wanted to at least get marginally decent at some aspect of the sport. I haven't gotten much better than when I started, unless I throw a slider which is somehow my best pitch, but it took my mind off of the stresses of everything going on around me. For an hour a day, it was just me and that baseball. Baseball, in some ways, saved my life this summer. Before I go pitching, I watch this video for motivation. It always helps.

im going. edit- 2 months in, i have been working out every day, with renewed intensity. Every day, I remind myself, YOU MAY NOT BE THERE, BUT YOU ARE CLOSER THAN YOU WHERE YESTERDAY Edit: 8 months in. I’ve been grinding for months now, I go to the gym and lift. I was able to make one of the top travel teams in the state. I gained 6-8 mph on my fastball and gained 11-15 mph on my EV

Honestly I’m considering getting into baseball just for fun. I really admire the discipline and dedication of players like Trevor Bauer and Jose Altuve. It inspires me to get back in shape and actually try playing a sport lol

My teacher says write down what you wanna be when you grow up I told her I wanna be a professional athlete she calls me up and tells me the odds of that happening I told her I am working everyday to prove and to show I can make my dream and then I say as I’m walking back to my seat I can make it if I work everyday but u can’t do anything if your gonna say my dream is stupid and teach me not to go after it it was people like you that make those people in the league in the for the motivation so you can say what you want but I am in that league I’m gonna say it was you who tried to bring me down

I also loved to stay after practice or show up before practice to get extra reps or swings or just something. Little things add up. Also work on your weak points. Make those become your strongest attributes 💪🏼💪🏼 good luck brotha

The reason we train is to “win”. To be successful. To get as far as possible: I didn’t get this far just to say “I’m just here to have fun”. I’m here to fucking win. I’m here to be as successful as I can possibly be. You can only get as far as your mentality can go.

I’m currently 13 and going into my 4th year of Little League, one thing I really struggle with is my batting average, I can barely make contact half the time, I don’t know how to improve my hand-eye coordination, but my OBP is very high considering how many walks I draw, but still, I get so many meatballs at my games but I either swing over or under them, I’m looking for any tips to improve my hand-eye coordination
