Wow good for her ! I'm glad she went to see a vocal coach. I hope she considers Pilates and yoga too. Breathing from the diaphragm will help. Playing around with arm movements to lift her rib cage for belting out the louder high notes too. Lifting her arm in the air helps . Look at videos of Whitney , Mariah... Bette Midler ... watch how they move their arms and head when they sing hard notes .. also moving around .. side to side . Stand on your toes . Helps keep the body relaxed and vocal cords loose.

Give her a guitar. That's when she really gets into it. At least let her hold a fake guitar. Her hands are doing air guitar & she doesn't even know it! It's so natural! Give her something she feels natural with.
